The Nature and Practice of Compassion

In this teaching for the Buddhist communities of Atlanta and the southeastern U.S., His Holiness the Dalai Lama explains the nature of compassion and the practices for cultivating it as understood in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. The teaching took place at Emory University on October 17th, 2010. (www.dalailama.com).

Your Holiness, You and your 'faithful translator friend' are too cool . Listening to you is like eating chocolate for me. I'm even getting better at showing compassion toward people who don't like me. I love the setting here. You look very modern, slick in this setting. Love ya and wish you and all of us well. The power of kindness! My Grandmother learned how to weaponize Kindness! Kindness as a weapon works on love, not fear! My Grandmother was always in service to her family! She was always kind , and very wise. We all loved her so much that the thought of disappointing Grandma was a heartbreaking thing. Love and kindness are the most potent entities in the Universe. We should practice them as often as possible. My Grandmother died 2002. Yet I celebrate her existence every day!

Compassion, kindness, love . I monotor my thoughts. Rejecting bad thoughts. I become a better person this way. My rule for living is simple. If it isn't kind , I don't do it!

We should all work to unite humanity by sharing Love, Truth, Justice for all. Let's end all forms of discrimination or privileges based on race, religion or skin color. Let's have a set of Universal Law for all regions of the world that is binding for all and treats all of humanity in equality.

If you don't have compassion for yourself, you will never have it for others. Simple but true. Doing things for others to help or whatnot is Not true compassion if you don't have the same for yourself. Jiddu Krishnamurti is way more advanced than the Holiness here. When there is no difference between the observer and the observed, you have achieve true compassion.

Jiddu Krishnamurti is an advanced then why did he worry about death ? If he is truly compassion person and advance knowledge of ,,,,,,,!. He should know about compassion death. It is easy to talk about any thing if you are clear enough for some who lost my mind then it may sense for them. His Holiness the Dalai Lama may not advanced but he is truly compassion person for any time and he control ego and angry. Does Jiddu Krishnamurti control those thing? He is a wise man but other that he is ,,,
