As someone who has been in tech for quite a few years now, I was sceptical but thought it might be real. So I went to the site, checked everything and honestly, A LOT of it seemed plausible. The thing is these Boat products aren't too expensive to make and so I thought they're selling it at 0 profit or maybe even some loss for publicity. It's when I clicked on the payment options to check what's up with it, that it fully outed itself as a scam: only card and netbanking options for payment. That is the biggest red flag when shopping on a site that looks iffy. The point of this comment is that anybody can get scammed in this way, especially when these ads are on trusted sites like KZfaq. It doesn't matter how tech savvy you are; you probably aren't more tech savvy than a guy who designed a full site that looks convincing or even better than the actual Boat website. The scammer here might be evil, but he/she is not dumb. Very smart, in fact. Everyone should be careful.

Google really needs to do something about showing scam ads everywhere. really done with reporting each one of them.

I bought a TWS for 500₹ as part of Dussehra sale from an offline shop. Paid in a hurry because I assumed it was genuine and that was the last piece they had. However, I realised instantly that something was wrong, the warranty card and manual had a lot of spelling mistakes, the boat pairing had issues. Stood there for over half an hour before the shop took it back, they refused at first saying that once sold it cannot be taken back. The earbuds were named boAt 151.

This is what I observed as soon as I came to KZfaq back during the pandemic days. That's when these scams were very common in my account. Mostly they showed smartphones claiming several cameras and 128gb internal under 5k. I understood right off what they were. But I have seen people who actually happened to believe them due to lack of knowledge. As always great step towards spreading awareness between masses. 👍

Hats off Rakesh Bhai for making this video. I too noticed that ad today and reported it to Google. There's definitely a need for sanity checks before advertising these scams especially on a platform like KZfaq.

There's a thumb rule : Never pay ahead for any product. Just opt for COD unless you are availing some government sites like IRCTC ticket booking.

I have seen many ads that are similar, the form the ask to fill up personal information there is where I figured out that it is a scam. Just yesterday I saw this boat ad. Thank you for bringing awareness. You should have shown the form because there are same form for all these scam sites

KZfaq apparently checks the content of the ads before they go live, however it seems like their internal processes are not capable enough to detect these scams Moreover, another interesting thing is that whenever you turn off ad personalisation and stop giving google more data, these sort of ads become more prominent.

Main is scam mei fas Chuka hu. Mereko 285 INR ka price tag dekhkar Boat ka ek earbud chahiye tha. Maine click kiya jab ispar aur payment ki, toh koi reply nhi aaya aur paise bhi gye. Aapka video baadme aaya. 😭😭😭

All the "contact us", "warranty policy", "return policy", etc options are disabled on these sites. Once you pay the money, there's nothing you can do on the website..

A few days ago I also watched these days and clicked on it but after watching the website I had a doubt on it due to unavailability of COD and then searched on KZfaq and found that it was a scam. Since I am a regular viewer of GT I wanted to report it, to make a video on this scam but he is too active. He made it before I could tell. Proud of you. Keep it up.

Same thing happened with my cousin just few days ago, he bought a fake BoAT watch and it has never delivered to his home.

Such ads are visible on the google panel on the homescreen when i swipe left on my pixel 7

I have also seen bot ad of 49 , i go to official website and instead shows 999 price , i knew it was scam at that point, i m glad u bring this point👍

Rakesh bhaiya please make video on fraud business companies like safeshop, Darwin etc. which works on chain system of adding people in a web pattern and taking 10-20 k money for buying products from there company websites and claiming to double the money.

Just a buying tip, when you buy something, first and foremost prioritise the very quality of functionality of the things that you're buying. If it's audio equipment, the sound quality If it's furniture, build quality etc. Point is, if a product doesn't do the basics good, chances are it won't do anything good Edit: Ik it's completely unrelated, but then again I'm just tryna help out
