Im service engineer at Vivo this info is right we guide customers to be very careful bout it and mostly avoid it.. And this issue is not covered in warranty it voids warranty too.

Since the last 5-6 years I am not using any kind of tempered or any other kinds of glass, I think what comes with a phone is best just needs a good back cover which can take front and back damage (of course not the damage concentrated on a small area that will break the phone anyway!)

It happens with my friend. He purchased brand new moto edge 30 pro and the tempered glass guy put glue in the speaker. Thankfully the motorala considered that in warranty and replaced the speaker within 1-2 weeks. But yes this happened and I saw a live example.

What he is saying is actually right one of a friend had a Vivo v27 he had a tempered glass for the for the curved display and after applying tempered glass in just few days volume button stop working after going to the service centre he had to make a replacement for the volume button even if it was a new phone which was under warranty

@gyantherapy mera Samsung S23 Ultra me same issue ho gaya tha, Service center me jakar jack change karwaya aur us din wo last din tha Warranty ka

Due to this my mi 11 ultra's speaker got damaged and when i replaced it the survice center guy pasted the back panel with normal glue instead of special glue tape for water proofing which resulted in water damage while i was riding my bike in a rainy day. And the most interesting part was when i visited that service centre again for this problem, they asked for proof that I've done my service from a authorised service centre as glue is not waterproof and also some screws are not available (i got to know about the damage from the person damage is caused) so rip to that phone and also mi. Astonishing after sells service. Wasted 70k within a year😊.
