As a young boy born in sikh family in late 80’s , I heard so many stories from grand parents about muslims and specially some muslim rulers and what injustice they did , why sikh gurus went through all the trouble at that time, babar at 1st gurus time upto aauranzeb at 10th gurus time I heard so many stories in detail. How they used power and cruelty to convert non muslims, it surprised me as a child if they were like that why their footprints are all over our country, how nobody is talking about it , Because hindus suffered lot more then anyone else at those times but still nobody say anything . Now I understand people can’t do anything until their is a political will , i m not in favour of punishing today’s muslims for what mugals did , but it hurt when today’s muslims start defending them .

Ultimately Prof. Kapil's point is proved throughout the debate. This is what I feel. I may be wrong. What he wanted to say was that First accept the history and then move on. Prof Kapil has very valid reasoning backed with historical evidences. Prof Nadeem and Ruchita too have presented their views with a mindset which is quite obvious and needs to be kept in mind before arriving any conclusion.

Ruchika narrating Daulatabad episode is also whataboutary. Mosque was built by plundering hindu temples and same materials was used which is evident even now. So your choice of history expert is under question Lallantop team. This was happened in 1948 during police action on Nizam of Hyderabad. There had been a great deal of local pressure to reinstate temple. To avoid communal bais Govt installed bharatmata idol. Ruchika twisted whole story and tried to prove first Indian govt (of nehruji) communal or equal to auranjeb. मैं खुद भी भूगोल ,राजनीती विज्ञानं और इतिहास का सामान्य सा विद्यार्थी रहा हूँ ।मुझे आप द्वारा इस प्रकार के प्रोग्राम से भारत और विश्व के इतिहास का ज्ञान, मेरे स्वयं के ज्ञान में बढ़ोतरी करते हैं ।इससे मालूम भी होता है कि जिस ज्ञान का हमारे जीवन पर यदि अच्छा प्रभाव पड़ता है उसे और भी ज़्यादा विश्लेषित और परिष्कृत करना चाहिए । इतिहास को नही बदला जा सकता ,जो हो चूका वोह चूका ।क्यों हुआ ,कैसे हुआ और उसका परिणाम क्या हुआ ? इन इतिहासिक जानकारी से आज के मानवीय जीवन और उसके मुल्यो को ज़्यादा परिष्कृत करने की आवश्यकता है ना कि अस्वाभाविक और असंभावित इतिहास को बदलने की ।।

टीपू सुल्तान के समय मराठों ने हमला किया था किंतु वे हार गए तब भागते हुए मंदिर तोड़ गए जिसका पुनर निर्माण टीपू सुल्तान ने कराया क्योंकि अपनी जनता का मान ,स्वाभिमान और विश्वास भी बनाए रखना था ।

Ruchika Sharma’s opinion is illogical. When Hindu temples were destroyed, it was attack on civilisations. Crores were killed, raped in the same temple premises. Statues were broken to break the moral of Hindu society. Temples were used as toilets. This plunder can’t be compared with earlier wars. The invaders attack was so brutal that thousands of women burned themselves alive in the fear of rape. Such history is not associated with Virashaiva or Buddhist armies. There were rules for battle but medieval invaders believed only in religious conflicts based on loot and brutality.

I feel the Ma'am reference was completely obsolete to the last question asked by Saurabh. Professor Kapil I mustsay I became your fan like last week Prof Maakhanlaal his knowledge and clarity of thought is of next level. Wish to see a debate of Prof Kapil and Prof Aditya Mukherjee.
