There are various wheel rim types available on the market, e.g. wet painted, powder coated, anodized or polished. Q² Rim is an appropriate product to protect each and every one of them. Even the owners of models with polished rim lips have observed that the need to refresh the so-called mirror effect is significantly less frequent.

Hey Gyeon, question. I've got the Pure to do my bike with, however the wheels (and some other parts) are satin carbon. Am alright to go with the Pure on everything? The q2 rim is for alloys only I'd assume?

I'm planning to coat my rims after having them refurbed and powder coated: should I leave a certain length of time until I do the coating?

If they are powder coated, no. If they are clearcoated after that, you better wait at least 2 weeks. Regards, Y.

Hi Gyeon, saw a comment that guy needs to wait a minimum of 2 weeks to coat his freshly powdercoated wheels. Is this the same for freshly painted and clearcoated wheels? Thanks in advance.

Yes indeed, we recommend for any wheels paint job to wait a minimum of 2 weeks to ensure that the paint gasses out completely

Hi, 13”, 14”, 15” 16” 17” 18” 19” 20” 21”….multi spoke, flat faces, honeycomb? Get my point? But let’s say average 19” wheels, you will be able to do 3 to 4 sets of fronts. Regards, Y.

I opened a bottle of Rim last year (Oct 2021), can I use the same bottle/product or do I need to buy a new one? Does the product "go bad" if it's open for a period of time?

It will not perform like a new one because by opening you add oxygen and this will change the chemical especially when this has stayed for a longer period on the shelf. On your own car give it a try but I would never suggest this to a professional user that delivers payed services. New bottle is the way to go. Regards, Y.

In that regard, would it be better to use the bottle on both the winter and summer tires at the same time and then store the freshly coated summer tires for over 6 months till the next summer? Will the coat lose any effects during storage?

Cleaning rims with Ph13 is NOT a good idea and I would not recommend to do that. Q²M IronWheel cleaner is a Ph neutral wheelcleaner that is highly efficient and safe on coated and non coated wheels. Regards, Y.
