So this is the Soundboks gen 4… its basically a refined version of the Soundboks gen 3 which was redesigned from the ground up, but the Gen 4 now has better sound quality, its a little more efficient, and the grill is a lot easier to swap out. So now, the Soundboks gen 4 is an even better option if you want to take big sound everywhere you go, and the last thing you want to worry about is your speaker having to keep up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one waiting for this. I've got an L and R speaker already. I'll buy a GO for center sound if they come out with a powered sub! The DB Sub8.2 is awesome but 6hrs juice plus 8hrs charge time means we can't use it for big events that are 5+ hours 😮💨

Please note: sound box speakers do not use a proprietary protocol. They use a protocol called SKAA. The protocol is supported on several other speakers, none of which I can list from the top of my head. There also our SKAA transceivers available. You can pair your sound boxes and other SKAA products together. The limitation of only five speakers is not from sound box, it is a limitation of SKAA.

So, you can pair f.ex, 2 soundboks Gen3 with 2 tronsmart Mega pro?? How can i check if my Tronsmart devices have the SKAA protocol? i really think that it cannot be possible. Maybe with an app like ampme..., but i dont try it yet. If anybody have info about it, it will be interesting for me, thanks!!

@@juanluisboludaestrella5132 If that speaker has the bond button, then yes. You can pair them together. But I just did a quick search and also I remember reading the list of compatible SKAA devices a couple of times and not seeing that speaker on the list. TRONSMART has their own connection protocol called Tunecon, so you could pair together multiple mega pro speakers, although only if the mega pros have Tunecon technology, not sure if they do.

I got my Gen 4 and it's amazing, the clarity and bass is refined. No distortion. Nice base in stage mode. I play ii at 80% is good enough. One speaker is plenty loud but two, .

@turtboi i had the soundboks 3, and my everse 8's murdered it out. Not only in sound quality, but in loudness. The sb3 maybe hits about 116-118dB's, while my everse 8's were hitting more like 122-124dB's, they really hurt your ears at the beach

Can I confidently put a Soundboks 3 and a Soundboks 4 in a stereo pair without them sounding different? I'm trying to decide if I should get a used SB3 over SB4. I see you said you do it in the video, but is the sound quality different enough to where it is noticeable.

Sb3 gonna have much more bass, sb4 gonna be more towards mids and high with very little bass, kinda sucks

@jlv77956 no way they moving back wards I haf sb2 & it lacked so much bass once the sb3 came out I sold the sb2 and got a sb3. I was sold on the portable quality and concert feel. Now I sold my sb3 so now I need a new one don't know if I should wait or atleast pick up a go

@@asenciolosangeles6778 yup, from all the comparison vids i saw, the sb3 has more bass, as where the sb4 focuses more on mids and highs, and it gives up a lot of bass to make the other 2 clearer, its really stupid when you see it in action, the german reviews on KZfaq didnt hold back either saying it was a huge let down, and not even a gen 4 and more of a tweaked gen 3

Yeah but he had to use a grinder to cut out pieces of wood so the speakers would fit, plus he was buying speakers that cost about $120 each, thats an additional $400 after taxes bruh

Lounge is the quietest mode but it has the deepest bass and least amount of upper bass, Dance floor opens up the sound stage more but has the least amount of overall bass and Stage pushes the mids and highs the most and increases the upper bass by a lot. SOUNDBOKS Gen 4 not bad but definitely isn't for me

@@asenciolosangeles6778 In each respectable mode on the Gen 3 and Gen 4, the 4th Gen definitely more deep and upperbass but it kinda sounds like the 65 to 70Hz region is stronger on the Gen 3

As a DJ, I absolutely love this speaker, easy to take with you on the road, wide variety of possibilities. BUT the battery charging remains a big issue to me. If you want to play a dj set with 2 of these, you just want to be sure that you can keep these plugged in to charge so the speakers don't die. BUT to do so, you can only play at 50% of the volume. If they find a solution for this, thid will be the best speaker of it's kind!

Some people around here say s that SB 4 sacrifice bass for mids and high and SB 3 has more bass . This is really true ? 😅 I sold my jbl partybox 310 and i want something to sound like that ,i mean in bass . If the bass is lower then PB310 maybe i will have to look in other direction

I just got the gen 3 1 hour ago. I´m going to return it. Not enough volume and to empty mids. When I listen it feels like classic soundbar + subwoofer syndrome... Kind of works for movies but sucks for music. Was deciding between the JBL 310 and this one.. But since all people write that the gen 3 is louder then the 310 I will not try that one even if it would have a fuller tone... I don´t really know what to look for now.. Maybe I just have to buy a powerchord one. But let me clarify that I might have higher standards on sounds considering only subwoofer to my computer speakers is 300w rms 12 inch for 1400$. It works for conversational party. But not dinner sound (too ugly sound)... And not a full on rage party / rave feeling. To low volume. Been playing it on full volume and I´m just sitting in the same room. no problem.

soundboks if u want clearity and loud music, jbl if u want bass and more depth! jbl is not really good on top, and soundboks does not have bass! 2x310 is almost as loud as 1 sb, but with much more bass! so it really depends on what u like, and what type of music u listen to

@@stancelife6615 Really appreciate the response. It would be to perform house music so the volume loud the bass on point and be able to plug in the mic. Would predominantly be using the speaker for rehearsals and promo not sure about gigs per say, because of quality. However I will have a DJ mixer and effects box so could work for small gig spaces.

I had the sb3 and it was amazing. Im the only one who have this speaker in our town and everone always ask what is the name of the speaker. Because their go to is the common brands. 😂😂😂 and ut feels amazing since the speaker really is a beast. And now that yhey improved it. Ok wow im sold.

It sounds better, but not a huge step, its am incremental upgrade, basically if you was gonna get a gen 3, you might as well get the 4, but if you already have a 3, no need to get a 4, unless you were already planning to get more

@@MrSlidthunder yeah and it does sound better but it doesn't warrant them calling it the gen 4, its more like to 3.5 or gen 3 vers 2, the increase in battery life is essentially negligible, the bass is better and a nore fukkwr sound, but the gen 3 still sounds amazing and perfectly fine, its honestly kinda a slap in the face, im gonna return it and get more gen 3s when/if they go on sale

They're half the weight, cos of the smaller speakers 8inch instead of 10inch and lower powered battery, and just not as loud as the SB.

I got my new gen4 and it s a huge difference from gen2 . . . Gen 2 has no bass at full volume . The gen 4 it s just makes earthquakes around her at full volume . Very good sound and balanced at low volume and high volume

When you play a soundboks loud, it is like a party 🥳 magnet 🧲 Suddenly everyone will just appear. l get my neighbours begging to join in the fun, even if its 3AM! They so looove that big booming bass sound 🔊🔈that they will come knocking very loudly. They really don't want to miss out! They even shout out something like turn it up! every night, but I cant make out what they are saying so I just ignore them, and besides we have no more room anyway 🤷♂️ Sometimes they want to join in so bad, that they bust their party lights out to tempt me to let them in! its quite a sight with all of their lights flashing away down there, they just go for one color though, blue, I cant think why? And their siren sound effects are cool, too! 😅
