Do a giant cast, it helps. I used to not be able to do it, but when I did a giant cast, I did it!

I’m scared because my hips might not be in the bars after I do a cast . If I do a big cast , I might injure myself . I do backhips with a spot but I can’t do it alone

who uses this as online gymnastics I do but I take acro dance I have like Ariels and backhand springs and front Ariel 's so I have a lot but on beam and bar I don't have a back hip circle my friend are gymnasts so I learn from them to

My 5 year old daughter just mastered this!!!! 😊😊🌈🌈🌈 She is in littles in gymnastics.. 1 step away from being on pre-team.. She did her first one 2 days ago!!!! I help her here at he house and then she shows it at gymnastics 😊 I used to do gymnastics and I still LOVE ❤️ it!!!!! Thank you soooo much for your videos!!! You are an awesome coach!!!!!

I spent most of this year trying to find a good back hip circle tutorial. I studied exercise science (kinesiology and bio mechanics) so I finally just had to go sit down and analise the movement for myself. I'm a gymnastics coach in South Africa. We don't get a lot of help from the community or the government and we get paid almost nothing. So basically we do it for the love and passion of the sport and most importantly, for the kids. I'm so happy that I discovered your channel, you are really helping me out a lot. thanks😉

Drew S Gymnastics don't throw your head back, so watch your feet. That was what hold me back. Or first do it with your legs tucked around the bar, if you master that, straighten your leg

Try to follow your toes and don't arch back. Also, don't throw your head back it will make it so much easier. My friend taught me how to have confedence in myself by taking a deep breathe and saying blue sky's in and exhaling and saying gray sky's out. Really hope you get your back hip circle:)

Drew's Vyds Ask someone to spot you because at first your back will fall so ask someone to spot you at the back. Then you need someone else to throw your legs over. Then try it with only a leg spot.Try it alone and believe in your self. You have to get really much momentum so that you can go over the bar. Its kinda like a back tuck!Hope this helps ❤️😘

Are you struggling with the whole thing or just certain parts? Try watching this skill in slow motion and pay special attention to head position, arms and wrists.

Yes the head position is very important. Try squeezing a small plush toy or bean bag or even a rolled up sock between your chin and your chest.

As a former level 10 and a current gymnastics coach, lemme give some additional advice to Coach Meggin’s advice! Find something to put under your chin to not throw your head, like a block, a rolled up towel etc. OR, if your teeth are strong, you can bite your shirt or leotard and hold onto it. As much as I love the multiple casts for kids to learn casts, I find that young kids struggle to time it right or get tired too quickly. So, instead, I teach it as one big cast and go. I usually have kids practice casts separately. Watch your toes the WHOLE time!!! Don’t stop looking! Let your hands shift so you don’t get stuck upside down. This is a common problem.

To Coach Meggin: I am trying really hard to get my pullover, and my hips get to the bar, but I can never get over!!! :(I have to compete Xcel Bronze next competition season, and this is REALLY holding me back. I know I'm not coach meggin, but I can give a tip or two. I got my pullover 2 days a go and these tips helped me. 1. don't throw your head back, you won't be able to go over 2. step out with your bad foot and kick up with your good foot 3. stay close to the bar when starting 4. make sure your feet go back instead of up 5. rotate your wrists 6. look for your feet when you're pulling over hope that helped, good luck!

Make sure your arms are bent when you start and then only straighten them when your on top of the bar. I got my pullover two weeks ago and it was crazy cause I had never gotten it before.

AIGayogoUped, I used to do that, you have to just keep practicing! If you think your head is in, you'll want to tuck it a little more, as far as possible, cause the reflex you've created you'll want to push your head back, you probably will BUT since your head is in farther, you probably won't throw it all the way out, my coach told me that now I don't do it anymore! This may not work for everyone just from experience. &at TGC we have to cast three times then go....I don't know...

@@jasminekrist2015 ITS BEEN SEVEN YEARS OH MY LORD . Plot twist. Did it for a few months and then I started running track that year and am still doing it now in my junior year in college hahaha. I did enjoy it for the time I did it but it’s pretty expensive to keep doing.

Meggin pls respond when I do a back hip circle I can't keep my hips on the bar I just drop and hang there how do you stay up and get over? I have my cast and pullover already.

You tighten up your stomach and do like a crunch like thing and you have to try and get your legs to your head NOT your head to your legs, so that means use your stomach to pull your legs up towards your head. My friend does gymnastics and she has taught me a bunch and i could show you guys more if you go to my channel and subscribe to my videos.
