Gyokko: The Weakest Upper Moon?

Demon Slayer Season 3 brought us Upper Moon 4 and 5. But it seems like people are questioning the power level of Gyokko, Upper Moon 5. Let's see what he's capable of and why he seemed so weak.

I think he was portrayed as weak just to get through with the manga and series. It's a short series so they're speeding through it

Tldr; overconfidence and Mui getting a massive buff led to his early demise. I, as many others, don't like the conclusion to this fight, but it gives you insight to how important the mark is to beating these uppermoons.

I love my boy Uzui, but Gyokko is Upper 5 because the rank is based purely on power and power alone. If Gyokko is Rank 5 that means that Gyutaro and Daki *100% knew they could not beat Gyokko, even together* otherwise they would have challenged him, beat him, and took his place. That's simply how the Kizuki system was designed by Muzan and they have no camaraderie or friendship with Gyokko and had actually verbally stated they wanted to rank up and take his place. If Uzui only managed to beat Gyutaro with Tanjiro, a literal Sun-Breather actually doing the beheading while he ran interference, then Uzui gets 8000% clapped by Gyokko no diff.

It's literally narrated in the manga that the if it wasn't for the Gyutaro's deadly poison, Uzui after completing his Musical Score Technique would have beheaded Gyutaro without Tanjiro's help and even without an arm. Secondly, Uzui did all that without a mark while being poisoned, unlike Muichiro who had the luxury of the demon slayer mark. If Muichiro who was on the brink of death before he got his mark was able to beat Gyokko, it wouldn't be any different with Uzui especially considering he's the fastest Hashira, 2nd most strongest and experienced only behind Himeijima.

to be fair, if mui fought gyutaro, he will die from the poison (he will die before get his memory back and get the mark). and tengen have a "unique skill" called "musical score". imagine if he get his mark, he would also solo gyokko.

Muichiro would 8000% get clapped by Gyokko as well, without the mark. Your point? If Tengen was marked, he would've blitzed through Gyutaro. He'd have no problem beating Gyokko. Keep in mind Tengen didn't awakn his mark because Tanjiro awakened his at the end of the fight, a key requirement.

In my opinion, Gyutaro is a lot stronger than Gyokko. It's just that Gyutaro never actually shows up unless Daki is in danger, so overall Gyutaro and Daki average out to be weaker than Gyokko.

@@shawdits Gyutaro doesn't show up unless Dali is in danger. He doesn't care about being stronger than Gyokko.
