This whole gypsy rose situation is so dystopian it’s genuinely beyond me

I just think it's weird telling complete strangers you are pregnant that early into your pregnancy.

I think she just doesn't know how to not be in some kind of spotlight. Her mom made her a community/medical charity case. In prison, documentaries and TV shows were made based off what she went through. Now, the internet is obsessed over her release and life post-prison as if it's a once-in-a-generation event to see (for lack of better words). Parasocializing is also the main form of communication she's ever had through each of these phases.

She needed access to a good therapist/psychiatrist/psychologist Rushing into marriage and a baby with men she didn't really know that well was wild.

She’s going to be a family vlogger for sure, I can feel it. Let’s all hope she gets therapy.

I just hope the baby is healthy and doesn’t have a single illness or condition of any sort, because oh the conspiracy theories if that occurs, she's gonna have to constantly prove she's not doing what her mom did.

So, she’s had 2 whole breaths of freedom in her entire life. Tragic. Right into a baby. This woman has never & will never have a life of her own. I continue to feel sorry for this unfortunate person.

As someone who came from a toxic home environment and now has a 4 month old, I have my concerns with Gypsy. I have been on a healing and growth journey for 3 years now, unlearning my toxic coping behaviors as well as slight narcissistic tendencies that I picked up from my mother (who is on her own healing journey). I am now learning to be that positive example that I didn't have in my youth. My concern comes in with Gypsy not even being out of prison for a full year and not being able to discover herself since she has been out. I don't know what kind of healing she has done, whether in prison or before she found out she's pregnant, but the best thing for her and baby, is for her to do some serious inner work before the child is born. Trauma leaves a chemical mark in DNA that can be passed down to future generations, if it isn't taken care of. Essentially, if you have a child before you work on anything within yourself, you're already traumatizing your child. My son might just be 4 months old, but aside from normal baby things like fussing if tired, hungry, gassy, or needing a diaper change, he is an "easy" and happy baby. He was born 2 months early, and spent the first 3 months of his life in the NICU, so he has trauma around it, as the body holds memories, and he won't take a bottle. I didn't breastfeed when he was in the NICU, so now that he is home, he prefers breastfeeding, as his body doesn't associate it with the NICU. All that to say, she really should take advantage of the time she has before the baby is born, in order to not become her mom. I say that with the basis of control and covert Narcissism. She may feel ready, I felt ready, but feeling it is different than being it. Also, just in case if people say "you can't be surprised that you're pregnant when you've have unprotected intercourse," My son was unexpected as my entire life, I heard that i was either infertile or had severely reduced fertility due to my childhood SA. I was hypersexual in my teens as a result of my SA and never got pregnant....

Her saying no one she has ever met said "I am ready for this baby. It just happened." Is so so worrying. Because I know a lot of people who really said, we are ready we have most of our ducks in a row, let's go. Offcourse you can't prepare for 100% of anything that being a parent brings... But saying it just happens ro everyone.... Ooff...

As someone who enjoys intense privacy, loves being a homebody with my husband and family, I shudder at the thought of a whole bunch of strangers knowing my every move. Dude. I would have changed my name and disappeared forever as aoon as my parole was up, if I were her. So I can't imagine making my pregnancy so public to strangers.

The amount of like trauma and chaos this woman went through as a child and as an adult is off the charts. This gal is going through life changing events that even the most prepared people have lots of difficulties with at breakneck speed.

I don’t know her personally or her journey but I do worry for the kid… because she’s not even been out of prison for a year yet. I haven’t kept up with what she’s doing or what’s going on but I do worry for the baby and how Gypsy is going to adapt to being out in the world now with a baby to be responsible of. I wish them both the best.

I am very comfortable saying she’s not ready. Ignoring everything but her actions, anyone who is having feuds on social media or who is still having messy relationship drama or who has not had a chance at living as a single person is not ready to have a baby. I know that anyone who can’t manage their own life should not be having children. We see the results everyday and maybe if we didn’t live in a world where we need to cuddle instead of being honest we would stop adding to the toxic mess humanity has devolved into.

Shes stuck at 14 forever. She was never allowed to grow, she has been imprisoned one way or another for literally her entire life. She needs intensive therapy to try and mature, until then she will not. This happens to young teen parents too. If you dont get to grow, you will not grow. She is not a bad person, she is just 14, which is ALMOST the same thing.

It’s concerning to me that as early as 11 weeks she posted a big baby registry that people very quickly purchased everything on the registry, she added more and more people bought those items. She’s making money from Lifetime, why does the public need to buy her baby things in July 2024 for a baby due January 2025? To me it feels like grifters. She does not seem ready to be a mother, she carries herself like a teenager.

Also you should see the video she recorded of her and Ryan "fighting" and he's calmly speaking to her to which she responds "you're making me feel the same way my mom did" I would literally run for my life after she said something that outta pocket.

Ya know what? Like her, hate her, think she’s ready or not … doesn’t matter. She’s pregnant already, and for the sake of an innocent child on the way, we should all wish her and her man the best. I hope this will child will be a spiritual anchor that helps her develop a positive purpose and focus in life away from all the noise.

I don't how how to describe how bad Gypsy Rose will be as mother. Even if you say that Gypsy always playing a character, i don't believe she wont controlling like her mother.

I support Gypsy in her journey but someone in her life needs to step in. She is actively harming her life and now that a baby is involved, she can no longer fuck around. In a way, I am sad for her. She hasn't had a chance to experience life or experience a long term relationship outside of prison. I know she is an adult but she is way to inexperienced to truly understand the real world. I know Rod doesn't want to seem controlling but she needs to slow down. I'm a bit disappointed in him.. i am worried for Gypsy but most of all the baby. Now Gypsy doesn't have time to explore her self. It sucks and I am sad for her. Her best chance is getting off social media. As a trauma survivor I can see her being triggered in her show and I hope she is continually working on this with her therapist. She just made her life more difficult and I wish her luck.

My empathy for GRB fades every time I see her and is almost non existent now, but it hurt a little bit when she was talking about how nothing matters as much as the life you're growing and how you have to protect it - when she knows her own mother never felt that way about her. That's got to be rough. Of course, this is assuming she can feel at all and isn't just acting.

My first reaction was to be absolutely gobsmacked that she even has the ability to get pregnant due to the astronomical amount (not only in quantity, but the huge diversity) of risky and harmful (not to mention, UNNECESSARY) medications she was put on for yeeeeears before she went to prison 🤯

Between her mother abusing her for fame/charity money and the internet being obsessed with her as soon as she got out of prison, I don’t think Gypsy knows how to exist without public attention. I can only hope that her new relationships are healthy behind closed doors and that she eventually gets therapy/gets out if they aren’t (she needs it anyway tbh, poor girl has so much trauma). I also hope that she keeps the kid out of the spotlight as much as she can, so they have a chance at a healthy, less traumatic life.

Being with a man seems like everything to her. She has said things that make it seem her thinking is that if you don't have a man, you are pathetic. Posting her registry was a very old-school, get-what-you-can-for-free way of thinking. The pregnancy announcement was sad. I feel bad for her.

10:09 I’m a little concerned over how well Gypsy Rose will handle being a mother with the issues she had with her own mother. Also, Gypsy is a bit of a high profile person and the that can sometimes make raising children in a healthy manner difficult.

I think personally if we're gonna be pro choice, we sort of have to accept Gypsy's choice to keep the baby and not be too judgy about that decision (also considering the way abortion laws are in America, who knows if she even DID have the choice)! But I do hope that she's okay and is getting the support and therapy she needs, because the last few months can't have been easy for her, and it must have all been such a big adjustment for her - especially so publicly!

I have a lot of thoughts about this but I'll speak on my own experience with childhood trauma and becoming a mother myself. Motherhood is HARD. When you have trauma or ptsd, the likelihood of developing ppd and ppa is much, much higher. Pushing through and healing your own inner child as well as raising your own child is HARD. There is no way, absolutely no way i could have known how much pain i would have to face and heal from before becoming a mother. Things that i thought i had dealt with came back. Things that i never expected to arise, did. I see Gypsy and she seems so happy but i worry because this will test her more than she can possibly know.

Not gonna lie, this kinda reminds me of "1,000 Lb Sisters" when Amy had her pregnancies. Everyone was worried especially since (if I recall correctly) the first pregnancy was right after the news of one of the sisters leaving their dog in a hot car. Hopefully, Gypsy will do better down the line since her dad, step-mom and siblings are in the picture. I also remember hearing that Gypsy has been getting mental health assistance too. All we can do is hope and pray for the best.

I see the "nobody's ever really ready for parenthood" line used a LOT and I think it's honestly pretty absurd. Sure, maybe you can never be 100% fully ready (though tbh I think you probably can be), but there are absolutely degrees! That line feels like an excuse for procreating under bad circumstances.

I am like so annoyed with Gypsy Rose. I know she went through some 💩 as a child but she is an excellent manipulator. She learned it from the best. I also think she not only manipulated that man into killing her mom but she definitely had a hand in it. She didn’t go hide in the next room. She probably threw in some stabs after mom was gone. I do not believe she’s undergone enough treatment psychologically for the child to have a stable parent in her. Guess we’ll get to watch how this plays out at the poor kids expense.

8:50 you can say she’s not ready because she has been in the free world as an adult for less than a year. You can say she’s not ready because she committed murder less than a decade ago. You can look at someone “without really knowing them” and know they’re not ready. That’s just my opinion though

But people do prepare to become a mother and are “ready”. We wanted a child a long time but waited till we bought a house and were financially stable. Baby is approaching a year and it’s been going great!

Considering what happened to her, I truly hope that she will be able to find peace and healing in being a mother.

It makes me sad that the guy she manipulated into committing the crime for her is never talked about, but she’s free and living her “best life”. She should be in jail for as long as he was in jail, even with the context of her situation.

Im so freaking tired of seeing this girl fake crying and ”wipeing tears” that don’t exist. I understand that she’s ”damaged”, that she need MAJOR therapy and needs to adapt to society and to being a grown up and just finding herself after all the trauma she were put through. Her going into social media and ”the famous spotlight public-eye”-life were a HUGE mistake and I think media were very neglectful of helping her into that life. I was talking about this at one point about her visibility considering her situations. I understand the sympathy people have for her situation, but it's telling of our society and how we are so hyperfixated on true crime and criminals.

She was a kid mentally going into prison and she still seems so inexperienced in life. I wish she had gotten a therapist/psychiatrist or something before getting married, divorced, dating again and having a child. I hope she and her family can heal and thrive. Just a sad, tragic and twisted story all around.

I just hope having her family and a partner, and not being isolated like her mother chose, that her baby is safe.

She got a lenient sentence bc the court decided she did not understand the difference between right & wrong. She is in no way psychologically prepared to care for a baby.
