There's no such thing as a perfect marriage or relationship; they're all unique. What works for Adam may not necessarily work for Peter. Nonetheless, I've learned that there's always a solution to every problem. Five years ago, my wife and I were on the verge of divorce due to challenges in our marriage, but we managed to reconcile. It was a tough time, but we persevered.

The depth of your words strikes a chord with me, and I genuinely hope my feelings mirror yours. Despite our current physical distance, I cannot envision my life without her; my love for her runs deep. I yearn for her return, and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to make it a reality. We've explored different avenues, including therapy, in our quest for reconciliation.

Sunny is right, she manipulated her then boyfriend to murder her mother, BUT she was so sweet to her when Gypsy was on the show, but on the behind the table podcast she had the same opinion as me! I suppose she had to be hypocritical while on the show for legal reasons. I understand Sara’s point of view, to a certain extent, but manipulating her then boyfriend to do her bidding and then having sex to celebrate after the deed was done! But she didn’t snap. She planned it every step of the way. She looked for someone who would take the blame for her and tricked him claiming to love him. When options were given to her she refused any other because it wasn’t what she wanted. She then had sex next to her mother’s lifeless body. During trial she used all the tools her mother taught her to remove blame from her and pass it all on the guy she manipulated into ending the woman’s life. No, she didn’t just snapped.

Continuing to say she murdered a “loved one” and that “she murdered her mother” just shows this person’s lack of perspective in context. People act like there is this sense of obligation because there is blood but unfortunately, that can seriously lead to justifying toxic dynamics. No one is justifying murder, but it’s also important to have empathy and not laugh at someone’s response to trauma. These are the moments that it feels disheartening to see the people that have a platform to use their voice in this way.

Exactly Joy many people are abused, they don't kill their parents...I'm sorry I can't!!
@sciencenotsrigma
@sciencenotsrigma 7 күн бұрын
Thank you! ❤. There are many, many cases where people are abused by a parent, the parent is never prosecuted, and there is no resolution. This is not a good thing. My grandfather was a SA perpetrator. My mother was afraid to say anything, even as an adult. Her father still controlled the family resources, and would demand his children’s silence, by cutting off any of them who spoke about the abuse from his support. Most of his children, my mom included, had a hard time becoming self-supporting and having fulfilling lives, because they were dealing with the lifelong effects of trauma, low self-esteem/confidence, depression, and/or substance use disorders, as a result of the abuse. I’m glad Gypsy was, actually, able to break free of the abuse, not going through therapy in midlife, to be able to speak the reality of the abuse, after seeing members of another generation of victims die of overdose, and others still suffering from a legacy of abuse, like what has happened in my family. Because nothing was ever resolved and my mom’s generation was not able to name their abuse, I suffered from abuse by the SAME perpetrator. I am starting a new career and rebuilding my life, after processing my abuse in Dual Diagnosis treatment, in my 40s. The same thing is going on in families across the country and, I’m sure, around the world. Sure, there have been people who have been able to escape without a violent confrontation, or get help from social services, before the age of majority. I, myself, was removed from the home by social services, but I was mislabeled as a behavioral problem (I’m autistic, with bipolar disorder and PTSD), rather than receiving mental health services, to get to the abuse that was the root of the issues for me and the rest of my family. I was put in reform programs with violent youths, when my “offense” was truancy, because I had PTSD and autistic anxiety, and was afraid to go to school. I have, since, worked as a victim advocate and earned a certificate in Substance Use Disorder and recovery services, and a SA Advocacy certificate, but it has been a long road. Our society continues to fail many victims, Gypsy included, but she has been able to raise awareness and create a place for herself in the effort to end abuse, through the publicity her case received. This is a win for all of us! ❤

sonali7336: She had more options than many abused people have---Just get up out of that wheelchair, walk to a neighbor's and tell them "My mother has been abusing me and I'm not safe in her house". She was computer-savvy enough to send pictures of herself in her underwear to men on the Internet, so she also could have called the police and when they showed up once again, this time don't go along with her mother's con---get out of the wheelchair and tell them she wasn't safe and needed to go to a shelter. And she knew that her mother did NOT have power-of-attorney over her, that the papers were never filed and there was no court case, so she was free to leave at any time. She also could have called her father and told him the truth. She had alot more options then many abused people have. She was a victim as a small child but not in her late teens and early mid 20s.

Sunny mentioned about some of her friends that can't even get a date, but I think it's the 'damsel in distress' that these men go for. I have a cousin who is 40 and hasn't had a steady job in over 10 years, yet she always manages to find a man to take her in. One of the things she did (between boyfriends) is she said she was homeless and posted a picture of herself and some of her belongings on Facebook while she was sitting on the sidewalk. Many ppl in the family questioned if she was actually homeless or it was a ruse to trap a man. Sure enough a man saw it, came to her rescue and moved her in.

I love how Sunny alwayssss no matter what the topic is, thinks her opinion is the only one that matters. Sunny we know your a lawyer and that you have went to Notre Dame but there is more than just one side of a topic, that's why the show is called "The View". There's so many times she so adamant about making her point the only point that matters and no one else gets to talk. At least Sarah thinks at things at a logical perspective and she doesn't force her opinion down your throat.

Sorry I don’t know who everyone is, because I’m not a regular viewer, but I really appreciate the people who were understanding of the abuse situation and how hard it must be to know if marriage will work with someone you’ve never dated on the outside. Just because that doesn’t work out, that doesn’t mean either people was scamming the whole time. People are making a lot of assumptions about an abuse survivor they’ve never even met. For an ordinary young woman, there’s nothing shady about celebrating your life and, in Gypsy’s situation, freedom on social media. People shouldn’t expect Gypsy to “act like a victim,” or throw herself into more activism and advocacy than all the interviews, TV series, and documentaries she has already been doing to educate people & raise awareness. Let this person find herself and her place in this world, and if you didn’t have to go through what she did, be grateful. Yes, she’s in the public eye, so we are free to comment, but it’s never right or necessary to judge or condemn someone you’ve never met. I think Gypsy deserves a chance to create a life for herself. She can’t prove she’s a good person, or worthy of being released with the snap of her fingers, but she has done her time. The rest depends on her. The effects of the decisions she makes, as a free woman, will take time to see, so let’s let her live her life, and support her healing. Most people have no idea what they would have done in such a terrible situation of a specific, relatively rare form of abuse, or what they would do, in her shoes, now. The abuse occurred during her formative years, so yes, there will probably be some lasting effects, which may be difficult to understand, but that is to be expected. I have worked as a victim advocate, and while Gypsy has had some advantages because her case was a major news story, she will be dealing with this for the rest of her life. I get the sense that some people resent the support she has received, and the public interest in Gypsy and how she is doing. I can understand that, because I went through serious abuse and I didn’t receive donations or book deals, but a win for a survivor is a win for us all. Don’t hate! ❤

@@makeupbyjessx13 I understand the difficulty, but eye for eye is barbaric, and we don't live in the 1400s. I wouldn't trust anyone who kills their mom and then justifies it with "eye for an eye." Would you do the same to your mom? -- I think we have lost the value of humanity and life. His mom belonged in jail or a mental institution, not murdered. We are not gods; we cannot give life, so we shouldn't be the ones recklessly taking it.
@makeupbyjessx13
@makeupbyjessx13 Ай бұрын
@@AstinzWorld I think Sara is saying that Gypsy was basically subjecting to what what some consider torture and would compare is as a “living death.” It doesn’t negate the fact they both did something awful and terrible but Gypsy wouldn’t have done what she did had she not been put in that situation in the first place. She got out of it the wrong way and did the time for the crime. Gypsy never had a regular normal like until getting out of prison in January so she’s going to experience reality like a teenager/young adult because she’s never experienced it before. She gets a “pass” because she literally hasn’t done any of this before and she’s figuring stuff out she should’ve figured out & learned 15 years ago. On top of that, it’s the media and all of us that care so much about her. If we didn’t care, she’d have to go away and be normal but we care so much so she capitalizes off of it. She’s not stupid.
