‘UKIMWONA’ off H_art the Band’s debut album ‘MADE IN THE STREETS’ is an ultimate feel good fan-favorite. Produced by the award-winning producer behind monster hit ‘EL SHADDAI’ : CEDO outdid himself on this Jam.
‘UKIMWONA’ an upbeat Afro-track with heavy acoustics is a letter to an EX, confessing to them that you messed up & miss the good moments you shared. The person delivering the letter is later requested to tell her that, “No matter what happened between the two of them, the guy still loves her. ..”
The video was shot by celebrated award winning videographer cum producer IVAN ODIE of Callivan Creatives & video production was done by DARUBINI PRO. It features a star-studded cast of film/acting heavyweights; Nick Mutuma, Nice Githinji, Tracy Paraschoudis & Media personality cum Musician, Kush Tracey. Kenneth ‘Kenchez’ Muya the brainchild behind the storyline said that, having been in the acting industry before going into music then video production, he wanted to have professional actors in the video to salute the film industry that has been steadily growing & making Kenya proud. With Nick Mutuma leading the pack by having his two films ‘Sincerely Daisy’ & ‘Disconnect’ debut on Netflix Kenchez added that there was no better person to star in the film than the hunk. Shot on location at Kiluwa Apartments & Spa, Kilimani, Ivan prior to the shoot said, “For almost two years, we have been in talks with H_art the Band's management team about working on a project together & this being the first of many, my team & I plan are ready to bring nothing less than our A-Game. ..”
As a surprise, the video starts off with Media Personality & Radio Queen, Massawe Japanni interviewing the trio, H_art the Band.
