All that you explain is renewed a fresh in the Lds doctrines. Consider these words of Christ in Moses 6:63 ,” And behold, all things have their likeness, al things are created and made to bear record of me, both things which are temporal , and things which are spiritual; things which are in heavens above, and things which are on the earth, and which are under the earth, both above and beneath : all things bear record of me.” I enjoyed your lecture on Yoga , because I am a memberon the churches Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

All we get is 'Prasadam' from the 'Source' ! What we need to do is to understand this and appreciate it! The universal oneness is not to be understood but experienced! The path to realise it is Yoga!

This man is pretty good. There are very few Westerners who are really deep into this philosophy. Another person to check out is Edwin Bryant. Simply superb.

There is not only one cause of suffering. Trying to exploit things is one, but nature herself is pain and misery and suffering for almost all sentient creatures who have every existed. If we want to eliminate suffering we must eliminate nature.

Couple of observations..... The senses are wired for survival, what you would term as instinct. Which is why you would subconsciously pull away from fire. Civilization now, has reduced the dependence on instinct , for survival. It is in this context, you need to approach philosophy. If you are in third world country, instinct for survival trumps any philosophy.

There could be a severe drought and all living beings are dying in a country like India, the starving and thirsty farmer would give food and drink to his dying animals than feed himself or his family! That is the spiritual strength you would see in that third world country!

Excellent overview of yoga. But one small correction: "Zen" comes not from the Sanskrit "jnana" (knowledge), but from "dhyana" (focus, meditation).

If you listen again he actually says dhyana. He had already moved on from the concept of jnana. Hare Krishna 🙏

Each of us needs a material refuge which then becomes our mental and spiritual refuge. Men have always had the dharma of giving refuge to women and women to children. But in this corrupt society no one has more refuge because nobody knows God, Krishna, the Supreme Lord. So the greatest act of charity we can do is to give KRISHNA consciousness. Anyone can make it man or woman. From that moment on, that person, man or woman who has, he or she becomes a refuge for others. Of course one cannot take refuge in a misogenous religious institution. Haribol! Truth always comes to the surface and then sets us free from material conditioning. 🙏 Why the female devotes can't give initiation even if they was direct disciples of SWAMI Prabhupada?

I appreciated the content of this lecture (a sincere thank you Goswami for your service here). However, the tone of voice I found agitating, as if something was warring, not unified in the speaker. The words were beautiful but the tone lacked kindness, depth, wholeness. I say this in humility as I too am human and if I spoke the same words it would likely sound unified, too kind , and immature . I am not one who has even developed the maturity to speak, however, despite this, I would say to the speaker, keep up the service, but maybe at a different level for a while. Possibly holding the tension of the opposites within the contort of your body for a while, consciously suffering the agitation yourself, and possibly (?) that would create some authentic alchemical gold within from which to speak out of. I think of the myth of the image of Christ on the cross, between the opposites, suffering the burden of the opposites without moving to the right or left, holding the tension of the opposites within, to its dredge, till some honest, 3rd way is produced form the opposites. Not sure what this 3rd way would look like, but possibly it would create a tone more honest, open, with less agitation (unsuffered suffering). By speaking this I sense I create a greater weight to suffer my own opposites ... may god grant us both grace
