이창흠 기후탄소정책실장은 H.eco Forum 2024에서 2050 탄소중립과 2030 국가 중장기 온실가스 감축목표를 달성하기 위한 대한민국 정부의 정책방향과 주요 정책과제들에 대해 발표할 예정이다. 그간 환경부에서 추진해온 기후변화 대응 정책을 소개하고, ‘탄소중립기본법’ 및 ‘탄소중립녹색성장 기본계획’을 필두로 하는 현재의 제도적 기반을 살펴본다. 마지막으로, 2024년 환경부가 중점을 두고 있는 배출권 거래제, 무공해차 확대, 순환경제 등의 정책과제들을 소개하며 탄소중립과 녹색성장을 향한 정부의 의지를 표명한다.
At the H.eco Forum 2024, LEE Chang-heum, Deputy Minister of Climate Change and Carbon Neutral Policy Office, Ministry of Environment, will outline the Korean government's policy direction and key policy tasks in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and meeting the national mid-and-long term GHG reduction targets by 2030. He will introduce the climate change response strategies spearheaded by the Ministry of Environment, examining the existing institutional framework led by the “Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality” and the “Framework Plan for Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth.” Finally, he will shed light on the policy priorities for 2024 such as emission trading systems, expansion of zero-emission vehicles, and the circular economy. Throughout his presentation, the Deputy Minister will underscore the government's commitment to carbon neutrality and green growth.
