Hi Hope you are both well. This performance was the next day and it was a another set that performed to the Taiwanese school students from the Day celebrations to the President and Dignitaries. They change their uniforms to a white top and the orange miniskirt, the shoulder straps are tied round their waists. It is the group as the day before. The lady mentioned that she recognised a girl from the American video. It won’t have been, as you can only be in the band for three years in senior high school. The school is like a factory in that year on year they produce talent. Now the marching band is a school club activity and they practice in their own time outside the classroom ( it is a very high academia school, so school is paramount). Therefore it is very rare that they travel outside Japan. These kids are doing this because they want to and as point of interest, they themselves run the band from seniors (3rd year) down to new 1st year. They have club titles of President, vice presidents, team leaders etc. The choreography is very much their design. Every single student is a musician ( including the colour guard with the flags) and will chop and change. The DM in the video is a trombones. There is an ex KT student from when they played in America, who was a drummer in the band has come back to assist with the dance. The Music Director is a teacher in the school and also runs the school wind orchestra, which is another side to their bow. They recently won a gold in a regional competition and have moved on to participating in the national competition soon. The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊
