Steffy has always protected her brother - and vice versa - especially against the Logans they were a close-knit team, which was obviously necessary given the ruthlessness of the Logan family. She is his sister and knows Hope all too well. She is now like her mother: at first she rejected his marriage proposal, but he shouldn't have anyone else either. Don't we know this too well? Basically just a lame repetition of the writers.

Hope always thinks she knows what is best for everybody. Ridge even called her out on it once when he overheard Brooke and Hope badmouthing Steffy in the office. Ridge told Hope that it was arrogant of her to think that she knows what is best for Liam when he himself doesn't know. Hope did this exact thing with Liam when he was moving on with Ivy after she ran off to marry Wyatt in Paris. She told Ivy to stay away from Liam and it's too soon for her to get involved with Liam. Who is Hope to tell Ivy that. That's none of her business. If Liam wants to move on with Ivy then that's his decision. Liam will know when he's ready. That's the part everyone seems to not get. Hope is still not ready to accept Thomas' marriage proposal. She admitted that to Ridge, her stance on marriage hasn't changed. Let's say Thomas leaves Paris at the altar for Hope, will she be ready to marry him then? Because that's what Thomas wants. He wants a marriage and more children. Hope isn't ready to give him that which is exactly why he should go forward with Paris.

All the Logan women do. A man is never more attractive to a Logan woman than when he is moving on with another woman. Look at Katie for instance. Katie went on and on about not wanting to be with Bill but now that Bill is seeing Poppy, she's all jealous and bothered. You said you didn't want him so what's with the sudden interest in Bill now.
