A short story that is fascinating on many levels. Written between March and August 1921, first submitted to Weird Tales Magazine in 1925 and rejected, then finally accepted in 1926, it received very mixed reviews upon its release.
Today, almost a hundred years later, "The Outsider" is one of Lovecraft's most often reprinted works and it has also become one of the most popular stories ever to be published in Weird Tales Magazine.
