When shyster Ludicrous Lion convinces Jimmy that he has a super-duper pogo stick for sale that could bounce him home, Pufnstuf and Jimmy conduct a talent show to raise the money. Jimmy may be the star, but Witchiepoo steals the show.

H.R. Pufnstuf is the story of Jimmy, a boy with a talking golden flute named Freddy, whose adventure begins when he climbs into an abandoned sailboat on the shore of a lake. But little did Jimmy know that he is being set-up by Witchiepoo, the evil witch who wants his magic flute all to herself. Luckily though he is rescued by a kindly dragon named H.R. Pufnstuf, the Mayor of Living Island where almost everything talks. All would be happy, - what with dancing trees, singing frogs and a lollipop that owns a candy store- if it wasn’t for that mean ol’ Witchiepoo who keeps coming after the flute.

I tell ya. Everytime that Witchiepoo does anything or says a oneliner, my response is "I love her so much." I'm happy I picked this series up after not watching it for a few years. I want to make Pufnstuf avatars for Ponytown, so have been watching for inspiration.

@@savannahgrove No the Three Lemons who blew smoke out of their saxophones and made everyone at Jimmys birthday party laugh their ass of and pass out!!! The Oranges were the trial run to see of they would be fooled and it worked so good they did it again with Lemons. The Three Lemons were clearly the better act.

I don't recall the plot of the magic flute, I always wondered if it loosely had to to do with the talking flute - like as if they both saw the same high school musical and it stuck in the Krofft God-minds
