One of the top ten shows of my life. I think I was approaching 17 years old at the time. I'm 54 now. The Jockey Club was pretty easy to get into with a fake ID... Husker Du were so tight, relentless, and hit a lot of different emotional chords. The audience was frenetic, sweaty, and joyful in the best possible way. They must have played 90 pummeling minutes, at least it felt like it. One song went straight into the next. It was exhilarating, exhausting and remarkably cleansing.

I was at this show. I was 16 and it was my first big punk rock show. Life changing. I have a memory of Bob and Grant trading instruments for the encore (maybe?). Does anyone else remember that?

Bob's solo on Reoccuring Dreams is INSANE!

A solid recording / performance without a doubt, but I've always thought the Jockey Club set from roughly seven months prior tops this one... my favorite set from this tour is the City Gardens soundboard tape. With Hüsker, though, there's really no such thing as a bad live recording, which is a big part of what makes them so unique and magical.
