So Yudi, this means, H4 visa holder has to get an EAD to work, same as it was before. NO CHANGE. Confusion is created by media agencies as they are showing like H4 visa holder can directly work (without any work permits).

to get H4 EAD, H1B holder GC should be in progress n have got i140 approval. That itself would take min 2-4 years as one cannot apply for GC immediately or after few months of arrival. so it's kind of issue for spouse who cannot work for at least few years. With a high inflatory economy, it's becoming difficult to live with family in USA with single income

Hi yudi, my wife applied for eb3 visa 1.5 year before and completed i-140, and the waiting period for indians is 10 year, so can i have to come there with h1b visa with other sponsor and later change to eb3 visa of previous sponsor

I have survived for 10 years without surname in US. You can continue to be in that state without any concerns.

Hi I am doing full time job on full time cpt on reduce course load in my last semester .going to graduate in may 2023. Have applied for opt My question is how do I show in records that I stoped work at end of cpt , my cpt end date is 12th may and rejoined work at start of opt start date .?as I am on full time job usually there is no end date to full time job Plz guide through Thanks

I would say check your I-20 for CPT end date. You can not end CPT if you inbetween the semester, as it’s been approved and registered in USCIS. If you did CPT consecutive for 11 month 29 days, you aren’t eligible for OPT. For more detail check your university website for CPT and OPT. Ask to DSO as well. @yuvi ❤

H1B Spouses can apply for H4 EAD only if H1B Visa holder is in certain stage of green card processing.

Taking away the right to work is NOT cool. Why people on H4 visa should wait until their spouse on H1B visa gets an i140 approval. Why don’t you let people work and support their families. Hopefully it will change someday.
