Watch the full episode 19 of H2O season 2 :) While doing some research on Mako Island, Lewis uncovers the work of Max Hamilton, who, fifty years before, was also investigating the place. Realising that his findings could be the key to finding out more about the Moon Pool and the girls' transformation, Lewis tries to befriend the old man, but finds him unwilling to talk... until, that is, he sees Cleo talking to Lewis, and recognises the locket around her neck.

The Gracie Code is one of my favorite episodes. I love the scenes where Max arrives on Mako with Lewis and is remembering his youth with Gracie as they walk through the jungle. It's beautifully done.

For everyone who is confused: Julia (red locket) was the one whose boyfriend tried to expose the fact that she was a mermaid after he found out about it. Gracie (blue locket) is the one that didn't want to be mermaid and had a boyfriend who knew they were mermaids and helped her and her friends, and who made the three lockets for them. In the first season, ms Chatham says that they got the lockets after the incident with Julia's boyfriend as a symbol of their friendship and, apparently, it was Gracie's boyfriend Max who made them. It all adds up EXCEPT that the locket that Emma found was the blue one (which she later gave to Cleo) and here is this episode they show her picking up the red one (which Rikki currently has).
