Thank you Wayne. I just bought this phone and I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to use it. As an former teacher and senior citizen, I am often intimidated by technology, but this video has saved me! You are so thorough and explain things so well. I am much more confident that I will be able to master this phone! I will watch it over and over again to follow step by step.

I'm finding this video most helpful! My old (2016) Moto G4 was no longer going to be supported by my carrier's SIM cards after 2023, so had to buy an upgrade. Lots of differences between Motorola and Samsung even though both are androids. However, just want to make a comment as I'm watching this now. I prefer a light background. I think some viewers who are new to cell phones, or at least this option of dark or light background, would have found it helpful if, when you'd switched to light mode to show the difference, you'd also lowered the brightness level. It would have given a better idea of how the light mode would look. Having the brightness up full made the words look completely washed out and unreadable. I have my brightness turned down much lower and the wording is very easy to read.

Thank you I'm having issues to take a screen shot some says you press the power button and the volume up at the same time or your palm method from the right edge to the left or left to right nothing is working for me to take a,screen shot maybe you can give me some advice on how to take a screen shot?

Scroll down the screen twice to reveal the short cut buttons there should be an option to take a screenshot. If it's not there select the pen icon and it should give you the option to add screenshots.

You made a very informative tutorial which was also well done with very clear detail. My phone is all setup thanks to you. I do have one question though. My old phone had the time on the start-up screen as well as the home screen. My new A14 has it larger time on the start-up, but only a small time showing on the upper left once on the home screen. Can that be add over or under the weather temp on the home screen?

I just bought this phone yesterday, and am attempting to override my human tendency to get mad at the various attempts people make to explain "what to do". Already, this video is not on the same page. Why?, someone asks. Because it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to SEE THE SCREEN in any mode UNTIL a normal range of brightness is set, so you can SEE what you're dong. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for a great informative video! I saw how to set up Fingerprint, and I know you have to add a pen In order to create fingerprint, what I'd like to know is how to remove the pin requirement after I have set up Fingerprint. I don't want to have to do both just use my fingerprint.

The pin is a backup in the event that your fingerprint sensor stops working. You can't deactivate the pin while the fingerprint is enabled.

SD card: I have what I think is the SD card for the phone but it says "Not Installed". I opened the SD slot and there was a small card, but it fell out. I didn't pay attention to how it fit, but I was able to reinstall it. The phone works well but it still says "SD Not Installed" Did the phone come with the SD card or do I need to buy one?

phones don't normally come with SD cards. What I would recommend is an SDXC card. I bought this one SanDisk 1TB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - Up to 160MB/s, C10, U3, V30, 4K, A2, Micro SD - SDSQXA1-1T00-GN6MA for a samsung a20, of course the card will work on this phone as well. There is a difference, which is why I bought the SDXC card, between an SDXC card and a SD card. An SD card maybe just has a couple folders in it and you can add stuff to it and it's good and all,but with an SDXC card you get more. An SDXC card put into your phone will mirror the folders you have in your phone. You can take a specific ringtone you like and you don't have to keep it in your internal storage you can put it in the ringtone folder of an SDXC card and merge it with the contact of your choice...I couldn't do that with just an SD card because the SD card didn't have a ringtone folder. Don't just try to make a ringtone folder on your SD card and make the ringtone work, I tried that. Get an SDXC card of your choice and then put that in your phone and you can put your tones in there and there work as if they're actually in the internal storage.

A14 sucks in my opinion. Too many glitches. Jumps out of videos while watching. The blue tooth and wifi continuously come on even though they are shut off in settings. Will not allow you to use the camera unless you give your location. When updates are done, some settings reset to the default like android auto, location, software access, etx. Anything to do with privacy. As of the last update yesterday, now i have to see a dang screen each time i open youtube telling me I have history off, well no crap Sherlock! I want it off! Another step. Talking to others, many people having problems overall with android cells/ service in last 4 years with slowness and weird location and privacy issues.... Whats changed in last 4 years? We all know why.

When you scroll it's not smooth, when you try to respond on keypad it doesn't respond, when you hit the back arrow at the top it won't respond.......it's a pos! I had one other Samsung phone that was great, but this one is horrible.

Terrible at explaining casting.Yes, KZfaq is easy2cast but how about another apps like Netflix?Or Chrome show how to cast on that?And yes, it is a capability without a chromecasting device.Obviouslee.... katchup tomato!
