MLB needs to do more of this, love seeing the view from the hitters perspective

Ump cam and normal view should be options that we pick to view !! Can view either/or, or simultaneously… This will make baseball GREATER THAN EVER !!!

Love the ump cam as long as it comes with the sounds of the at bat.

If they used a steady cam and fixed the zoom/framing so you could see the ball better, I would want this to be the default angle.

I wouldn’t watch a whole game from that view but a few pitches here and there would be cool.

They need to make the resolution 4k, 60fps with a bigger sensor. And have 2-3 backup cameras/masks for the times when the camera will break.

I wish they did was nascar does. Where in the app you can select which camera view you want in the app. Such as ONLY center field or ONLY behind the plate or ONLY ump cam for the whole game. I think that it would give then entire sport a new feel

I watch the post season every year through TrueRGM 's channel. As someone living in a country where baseball is a niche sport, I noticed that the way it is broadcast, thorough understanding of the game is taken for granted. Like I know there's a runner on second because I have in mind he moved up there and there's the little bases icon at the bottom of the screen, but broadcast doesn't show him and then when he steals you only see his arrival at third. This is just one example. I realized if I want to show my friend a (condensed) game, I'd have to explain a lot to him while watching. They should show what's happening in the field more, live and through replay. This gets me to the ump cam (which I think is cool) and the use of different camera angles and replay. Action in baseball happens in short bursts. Real appreciation of the moment can come through replay, different camera angles and slow mo footage. Too often in for example compilation videos, the play happens quick, sometimes not even fully captured in broadcast, and no replay is given. I've also noticed in older footage they'd do split cam more. One side of the screen is the outfielder throwing and the other the runner dashing, which gives you a good, simultaneous view of both and wether the runner'll make it. Or the pitcher getting ready on the one hand, while the runner takes his lead. You hardly see that anymore. For worse imo.

I watch little league games from that perspective all the time. I umpire myself.

I think if they made it a little better and steadier, this angle could make baseball much more attractive to the casual viewer.

Wouldn’t want a whole game but definitely an inning. Or just go to it more. I would like to see them switch to that camera a couple times a game

There’s a happy medium genius, it doesn’t have to be a whole ball game & it doesn’t need to go away forever. Give us a little more credit than that because we are a tad more diversified, good God man.

i would watch a whole game, as long as they switch to the angle….. it’s annoying already not knowing how high or fast a ball is hit and having to guess if it’s a homer

Fox, you did something smart for once to, get better ratings. You get a point in my book. That is one point. The last time you could get 5 points was, the first season of the x-files. Does this mean, you're no longer trying to be the leader's in the race to the bottom? Do not get my hopes up.
