I don't know. Remember city haven't played in a while whilst they have been playing matches frequently. This could've been very different if those city players were match sharp/fit

J.League is an underrated league. Top J.League clubs could make wins in European Champions League group stage. And the league itself is I think far more attractive in sense of competition and equality than any other league in Europe. Think of Primera Division, where only Barca or Madrid (or sometimes Aletico) wins the title or boring Bayern and PSG dominance or Juve recently or City in the last decade. Only Premier League is sometimes exciting with clubs on top or in the title race you would not expect (Leicster, Arsenal if you look into rencent years). But the title race in J.League is the best. You never know who can win and when somebody wins, its mostly decided a few matchdays before end. Take this year. Who would have thought that Kobe would be on top right now and Frontale only on 7? Nobody! Last year Gamba escaped the J2 the second time in a row. I mean 2020 the were second place. Or last year Nagoya and Urawa were moderate, but this year they are still in the title race. Well Urawa is funny club for itself by missing the title nearly all the time but winning the Tennohai or the CL from time to time. Well, this league makes so much fun. In Europe you mostly have just the usual same.

@@jonesy1589 Again, those city players have just returned from their holiday whereas those j league players have been playing frequently over recent weeks. Whilst they did perform well, there's no indication that it means they'd perform as well against fully fit premier league teams or even European leagues. You can have world class players but if they aren't match sharp or match fit, they won't perform at their best. Especially as these players wouldn't be taking the games seriously as to avoid injury for when the actual season starts.

@@yourdailyjoe3155 The majority of those city players would be still working out! You don’t lose sharpness with in a couple of weeks, pre season started weeks ago for some of them, end of the day I’m just stating that some J league teams are fantastic teams.

Marinos had this game. Got careless. They had the lead and slowed the game after the 2nd goal. They should have kept the pressure in the first half and not allowed 2 goals on the same half, the first half.
