Habitat management is the foundation of the entire farm! If you're working to improve your local herd and hunting, it should all be centered around improving the habitat. When you build from the foundation of quality habitat it will become the perfect wildlife haven and hunting grounds. Edge Feathering can create prime habitat for everything from whitetails, to rabbits, to pollinators. As a land owner, aren't we always looking to transform our farm into something more? Although it may seem like a tall task to soften the edge of our food plots and edge feather there are only a few things that benefit more species than this. Consider using a chainsaw this winter to improve your hunting property. #forloveoftheland

awesome video. I have alway over looked native feed. Earlier this summer i drained a 5 acre beaver pond and i can't believe the native plants that have grown in. Deer tracks all over it.

You know the Native Plants 🌱 👍 Hardly anyone does. Warm and Cool weather grasses for year round feed. I’m Done with plowing, discing, Seeding and RoundUp. Natural Fôrbs, Grasses and Plants.

Got 3 rains on clover, peas, buckwheat radishes, turnips and chicory that I planted in the last week. Should be decent stand.

Anything you can do that helps the deer evade getting shot for longer and provides groceries will definitely get them bigger. I bet if you let your hunting plots grow up in thickets you deer and turkey population would increase and would have better age structure.

Really good information have you noticed any deer pathsl coming through that Greenery looks pretty thick maybe you can help it out with just a pathway using a weed eater ,appreciate the video

Hey guys, love the podcast content. Did you flush cut all those trees when doing edge feathering? I have a 1/2-acre old field butted up against a hard edge, closed canopy woodlot. I’m trying to figure out how far from the field edge into the woods I should go to create a beneficial feathered edge? Thanks,
