That cook set is pretty cool with all the tricks you can do with one. I'm going to have to order one and play with it. Another little trick I've done with my various little hobo pots is find some small flat and round river rocks about the size of a half dollar and about a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch thick in the middle. I look for smooth, hard and dense ones that don't have any weird color mixes or mineralization in them. That minimizes their chance of exploding when heated and they are unlikely to leach toxic metal oxides into my food. I line the bottom of my pot with them, put some foil on top of the rocks with a light coat of corn oil on the foil and whatever I plan to bake on top of that. Set it on the coals, put some coals on the lid and it's good to go. Also if you want to heat up a microwave dinner in the field like those no refrigeration needed Hormel Compleats dinners that you can find cheap at any Dollar General or Family Dollar store on the road I just put enough water in the pot to cover the rocks to keep the plastic food container from melting, crack the seal on the food container so it doesn't blow up, put the food container on the rocks, put the lid on with no coals on top and set it on some coals, a grill, hobo stove or camp stove and steam for about 15 to 20 minutes. I keep some of those Hormels behind the seat in my truck just to have some emergency rations on the road or to give out to panhandlers at traffic lights and such if they'll take them. They are a pretty good poor man's MRE for less than 2 bucks each.

When I was a kid I would cut off some fence wire the kind that were kind of like a grill. They were on the outside fence of the chicken yard, but not the actual Chicken Coop kind although we did try that as well. Just don't use any galvanized. That stuff used to be laying on the side of the road or you could grab some when you took stuff to the dump. It might just be regular fence wire because we have used it in our yard as well

Well now, this is interesting, and a very neat idea to use a perforated stainless steel serviette holder as an oven tray! I haven't seen that particular Stanley pot, having been horrified at just how heavy their stuff is. I'd previously thought that Zebra cook pots were heavy, but Stanley outdid them, and I prefer lightweight stuff. Neat oven, and I'll have another look at their pots after seeing your excellent video, subscribed.

My wife makes Bannock I like this idea for the lightweight pot conversion with a napkin rack. I'll try that. I use an small iron pot with a Ikea utinsil cup upside down in the pot making a small dutch oven. I use the Ikea cup as a stick stove at night when I don't want a big fire so it is handy. If you had a bigger stainless pot, one might be able to fit the whole napkin holder in there and get two racks for two loaves.

I've done that with a small Grill. Just the wire Grill that would fit inside my cooking pot. And when I was younger we used chicken wire or chicken coop wire. The square designs were better than the round. But they would roll up really small and you could use them as a grill. All you needed was a pair of pliers to cut a piece and you were good to go. I didn't have money when I was a kid so I had to make my own crap. Any kind of camping Grill my dad bought was only used when he went with me which was not very often. Because he had to work all the time. He was big on buying toys but they were his toys not mine. I was lucky enough to get stuff at garage sales if it was cheap enough but if it really caught his eye of course they were his. Just another little idea there for you although I would avoid galvanized wire.

if pan and rope hanging i knew. this one just idea of creativity. i like this video, at least it is funny, but for some situations this info can be useful. and you can make video like you make satellite antenna from it or weapon or something else. it is just interesting 1000 ways use your trekking pot.
