One would think for the price they are asking for it, it would include a power source. Nice units, but I will keep my money, and do it the same way I have done it for years. I don't see why this is a necessity, if you are a racer you are going to have several sets of shocks, you fill them, let them sit overnight, and no need for one of these.
@highlandcrawler
@highlandcrawler 5 жыл бұрын
One would think if your buying Hudy gear you would more likely than not own your own power supply. Why Jack the price up more and include something most of us wouldn't need?
@FarmerFpv

Speak for yourself. Track conditions change so do the outside air temps. With that being said you never know what shock weight you need until a few tests runs. You must have never competed at a higher level where the money pot is worth every edge you can get. Considering it's something you can keep in your toolbox forever it's rather inexpensive

Its actually air rushing into the chamber not out when you vent the chamber. The chamber is under vacuum. Neat little toy.

For shocks damper, absolutely... But the differentials, LOL... with in 20 seconds of mashing the heck out of the throttle, that diff fluid will be littered with air bubbles again... unless the unit is 100% filled, and then what... lol... Again, shocks, hell yes!!!!!, Diffs, why bother...

AMain Hobbies can I put a spectrum battery and esc so I can use the smart battery on a traxxas slash remeber the 130 mph one and plus what is the best off road ties and how do I drift the thing and how do I turn off TSM and plus I mostly buy my things FROM AMAIN
@AMain_Hobbies
@AMain_Hobbies 3 жыл бұрын
@@r3versekyvak608 A smart ESC should work fine in your Slash, there shouldn't be any compatibility issues other than the battery connector's matching. For your TSM, if it's programmed to your multi-function knob on the transmitter, you can just turn that down. You can also go into transmitter programming (TQi only) and turn TSM off completely that way. For off-road tires, there isn't a "best" tire per se, because the tires are designed to match certain terrain types; which of course varies depending on where you drive and the type of dirt you have available. Here is a list with pictures of tires, let me know if any stand out to you. Also, what type of off-road terrain will you be driving in? -Brett

Hudy makes amazing stuff but this just seems like a waste of money unless you build shocks all day.
@dtpcustomsrc4851

So I just priced out the parts needed to essentially build this and, no offense meant to this vendor, this is way too expensive. As RC enthusiasts, we're all about making stuff when you can and this is pretty easy to make. :)
@blue03r6
@blue03r6 4 жыл бұрын
to be honest, unless you put your oils in a paint shaker they don't have that amount of air bubbles in them. I think this is kind of a unnecessary product. for me anyway. besides, some shocks are designed to work full of air bubbles. they're called emulsion shocks.

So overpriced
@robbryan3044
@robbryan3044 5 жыл бұрын
It might be "overpriced", but Hudy products tend to not only be 'high quality', but 'very high quality'. On top of that, using their set-up kits as a perfect example, they are far, far more accurate. The markings on "cheaper" set-up kits were inaccurate, whereas the Hudy kits were spot-on. Finally, while this is far from a "necessity" where shocks are concerned, in regards to diffs, this could prove (not that I own one...yet) to be an outstanding, and functional, 'accessory'.
@luisw3406
@luisw3406 5 жыл бұрын
@@robbryan3044 it's good brand name but it's just how practical to each. Me yeah it's nice but I don't see myself using it but a few time so compared to the price its not that useful in that manner.
@robbryan3044
@robbryan3044 5 жыл бұрын
@@luisw3406 True, true. I'm 99% certain that they're not targeting this to the "everyday" RC person. You won't find anyone whose vehicle is purely for bashing purchasing this. You'll probably find very few (except for those who just like spending, to show "they own one") whose vehicles spend less that 50% racing & practicing for racing. This is aimed at those whose vehicles spend at least 75% of their time on the track (practicing & racing). Right now, my vehicles don't meet that 'purpose level', which is exactly why I haven't purchased one of these...and, until such time as at least half my vehicles meet said 'purpose level', I'll hold off purchasing one. Those who know this is intended for them (and, again, those who don't mind spending excessively, to "show off", they'll see the advantage, and get one (or all three)...while the rest of us will just enjoy watching the video, and say, "Maybe one day. Maybe. And, then again, maybe not."
@luisw3406
@luisw3406 5 жыл бұрын
@@robbryan3044 true I spend about the same amount of time on track too. But yeah if your spending 75%or more on track it would be very practical it saves time 👍. But me I still would rather spend that amount of $ on tires or other upgrades personally but to each there own taste.
