They were a little tilting but they didn't actually lose any time so it's ok.

Beo is absolutely the best weapon atm, with the mirage shot bug and the fact its a cast weapon that scales super well with wells/chaos. Top 5 is probably Beowulf - Hera - Eris - Hestia - Achilles

Its a fun weapon to get good at. So satisfying just one shotting every enemy.

@@drkfrst I did a couple of runs earlier, but I must need a lot of work because I can't seem to get out of Tartarus in less than 3 minutes (to say nothing of the other three realms). Still, it definitely is a lot of fun.

The pause menu? That's me pausing whenever I enter a room to see what chamber I'm in, since it pauses the in game timer it allows me to take a second before starting the chamber

We used to take Aphro because of the damage we take Poseidon now because while it is lower damage it hits through walls, is a larger AoE and makes it easier for mirage, and since mirage is bugged and instead of the 2nd cast dealing 30% with beo it deals 100% so we have more than enough damage. As for dio the casts take longer to drop so we run Stygian on the mirror so we don't have to wait for the drop but that also makes it so we have 1 cast so we need good chaos and that just adds more RNG to the run.

Once you can get Hades' to enough hearts from giving him gifts you will be granted permission from him

I do not, I have special/cast and dash all mapped to L1/R2 and R1 respectively. With Summon and Call Triangle and Circle

Sub 5 is the goal, the community is hoping to have it by the time Hades 2 comes out but we'll see. The luck needed is something else.

because of the duo boon Mirage Shot from Poseidon and Artemis. Its bugged on Beowulf and actually does another cast at full damage instead. so you're essentially shooting twice with one attack.

Most people just use the 100% save file from speedrun com and that one just doesnt have the bond completed, It doesn't change anything so noones fixed it

In-game time passes while the images for the rewards in the next rooms are loading. So the reason he pauses so much before exiting a room is to be able to tell which room offers which reward without having to wait for the images to fully load, which saves in-game time

When you gift bouldy in a run they will give you a boon that will buff a stat like cast damage or attack damage by 2-10%

The categories goal is the lowest In game time so we use pausing occasionally at the start of rooms to recognize what room it is and possibly what enemies are in it so we can plan a proper way to tackle the room. There are some really great RTA or real time runs out there if you are looking for a run with no pauses and much quicker decision making.

The in game timer stops when we pause so we use quick pauses to see door rewards and enemy layouts

haha, a little mad for sure. after so many hours and failed attempts you learn to brush it off pretty fast. Definitely would have stung for a bit though.

We have a full save on the Speedrun com resources page, Has everything unlocked with a ton of extra resources. Just saves time for when a save gets too many runs as the game loads slower after a certain number and stops saving altogether after a bit more. Pretty much its so we don't have to grind out an entire new save from having nothing unlocked.

​@@drkfrst how many runs do you need in a savefile to start noticing lag? Are we talking about hundreds or thousands?

@@fostena I'm not sure on the exact numbers but I know as you get past 800ish rooms start loading a little bit slower, and some where in the 1 thousand range it can stop auto saving the game entirely.

with base controls all cast centered aspects feel very clunky, ive mapped my cast to a trigger on the controller and it feels much more natural and smooth

Its 9 heat because Forced Overtime 2 makes enemies spawn/attack faster for faster rooms and Extreme Measures 2 makes it so the Lenie fight is more compact for a faster time clearing the spawned heads

@@GamerLeFay The survival room in tart actually stops in game time while the room is in progress so the whole room really only takes 1-3 seconds depending on the chamber/item drop

it stops the timer in the top right! runners use everything they can to save seconds on the timer, so making a decision like "what room do i take" is best done while looking at the pause screen.
