Patricia Petibon, generalmente, ma qui in particolare, è certamente un esempio di come la vocalità possa essere al servizio di quell'ideale musicale che lo spartito suggerisce e della sua espressione. La dizione esemplare, la scansione del testo esalta ciò che Haendel ha scritto. Il tutto con una sapiente, ma discreta interpretazione, infatti, nulla richiama alla autocelebrazione, che a volte alcuni cantanti, magari per narcisismo subiscono. Qui siamo di fronte a un'artista di grande sapienza e di umiltà che non celebra certamente se stessa, forse perché talmente raffinata e intelligente che non ne ha certo bisogno.

Aussi je chante SOUVENT cette ARIA de HÆNDEL.-, la 1ère que ma prof de CHANT Géorgienne m'a fait travailler.. Et C cette version bouleversante que je préfère 💎💎💎

Patricia Petibon, con l'intensità altissima e fortemente drammatica e con le sottilissime gradazioni vocali che mette in questa sua interpretazione di "Lascia ch'io pianga",piange lei e fa piangere chi la ascolti.Questo brano, capolavoro assoluto di ogni arte, così cantato e così com'è la sua intimistica natura,tocca le corde più profonde dell'anima:che sono le corde,non dell'amore,ma del dolore.

Brava! Interpretazione molto raccolta, drammatica che non scivola mai nel patetico. La sua voce non prevale sul testo e sullo spirito del brano. L'espressione sofferta ma fiera del volto della Petibon riflette a pieno l'intepretazione di questo brano.

Je crois préférer la voix contre ténor de Jakub Orlinsky, Haendel a écrit pour eux, et c'est peut être plus dans l'expression, la vérité de ce répertoire très particulier. A chacun son ressenti, bien entendu. A chacun de vous la musique pour toujours! 🌈 💝 💫. 💟 🎇

Oh my goodness, she is a true manifestation of the Sacred Feminine Principle. I love the way she sings and how the musicians play it so slowly, so reverently. Her outfit is sublime, the hat is adorable and they all match her amazing hair and lovely skin! A work of art herself!

Almost unbearably sad - but Patricia's rendition makes it art. Can't thank her enough for sharing her enormous talent. It takes her a while to come out of it and become a performer on a stage once she's done.

Very nice but way too much vibrato. A very clear voice was critical for this aria; vibrato was considered bad taste in 18th C except for occasional ornaments. Boys actually sing it more authentically.

Che splendida esecuzione!!! Lei divina, quell’infinito diminuendo prima della ripresa della frase è una lama di dolore che entra nel cuore e sembra non avere mai fine. Meravigliosa la scelta di lasciare che si senta appena il respiro del primo violino nell’ultimo forte orchestrale: sembrerebbe entrare poco con la musica questa ultima osservazione, ma il pathos che ne scaturisce vale ogni lacrima che esce dagli occhi commossi. BRAVA!! BRAVI!

Magnificent! Handel is one of my favorite vocal composers. The others are Bach and Mozart. It's so gorgeous, it brings tears to the eyes.
