Thats crazy considering he was never good at this event, up to this point he is looking better than ever before

He was really good at this event, holds the record with Straps and did 11 secs in 2018, people just remember 2020 with the unbalanced wrong frame

Thor was never well known for his frame carry abilities but my goodness has this guy come in well prepped. Hoping he does not drop too many points on the Apollon Wheel event!

Thor has good press so I doubt anybody will be ahead of him in that event except Mateusz of course

@@davidkosiba624 He tore his pec last year. His press is nowhere near where it used to be right now.

@@p1te I am aware of his tear but at this best he was top2 in the recent years , even if he is below that level he is still a better presser than everybody in this line except Mateusz who is also not at his best if we are being honest, so Thor can definetly place in the top3 imo, he is more worried about the stone according to his youtube video from a few days ago

thor at this event in 2020 he was not good as matuez but he come back and become on the top and he took this even like its one of his best event with the deadlift , beast

Hooper is really going to keep him on his toes. The last time Thor competed he basically won because of his deadlift (well, really because Mateusz struggles with his). I believe he came in 2nd for everything else the last time.

Only problem is Thor's injury recovery. His press still isn't there so he's probably going to lose a lot of points on the press

Thor won the deadlift and the bag over bar. He came 2nd in the stone medley by three seconds to Mateusz, he was hardly dominated. He was 3rd in the wheel of pain, 2nd in the dumbell and 4th in the frame. Thor didn't just win because of the deadlift, he won because he's consistently good at every event. That deserves respect.

Koma Svo Hafthor! This one is to every ignorant soul who were keyboard heroes leading to this event who said you have a weak grip and predicted you will not do good in this event. Guess they only saw the 2020 ASC timber carry where the frame was off balance and every athlete who went in the left lane having had to untimely drop it because one side was heavier than the other. Another thing they forgot is that you hold the world record in the 500 kg with straps timber carry and not knowing that prowess will carry forward to this performance in addition to your amazing grip strength. So proud of you! Extremely well done! Koma Svo!!!

You have to admit this was a crazy performance from him tho. He was never known for beeing good at this and just did like the 3rd fastest time ever. I thought he would get 10-12 sec if he didnt drop it.

@@filiplofgren8023Wish people would stop saying he was never known for being good at frame. He's got top 3 on the frame with straps multiple times and without straps in 2018 he finished in 11.80 seconds, that isn't slow. It was top 3 and the frame was 10kg heavier than in this show. He might not have been setting world records but he WAS good at it, it was never a bad event.
