Idk if you ever come to Canada, but in Manitoba in the town of Beausejour, it is very common to see 10-15 old classics sitting in peoples yards. That's where I have found my last 4. When I need a new project, I go up there and knock on doors.

In weare, NH there is an old ford dealership with original mustangs and such from the 60s in the showrooms. They haven't been touched, but they are for sale now so I suggest go take a look. but make sure to tell the cops first because they watch that place like hawks so people don't steal the cars

Yep, they're out there. I recently found and bought a 1965 Mercedes W111 coupe. Runs good with a bunch of recent engine work, complete with good interior and driver quality chrome. Needs floors and respray for equivalent of $3000 US.

Im in south Africa found myself a 1962 bug It had been sitting for 25 years, not exactly a high ticket item but I got it for dirt cheap and it has original paint and service history etc. Most of the stuff you guys throw away people here would kill for. Love the show!

A great place to do a show would be in the California Sierra foothills, AKA Gold Rush Country or the highway 49 corridor. There are still a tremendous amount of classic cars waiting to be found and rescued. I can think of a few stashes right off the top of my head of significant cars just sitting. Cuda's, Challenger's, Packard's, early Dodge Brothers, and more. Enjoy the show and especially the message of inspiring others to get out there and find them. I have been trying to perpetuate the same message somewhat. If you are mechanically inclined and resourceful, I can show you how you can own and drive a classic of any type, of your dreams. Perhaps not any Bugatti's but you can get close for a fraction of what others can.

very cool show Tom ! I have always liked visiting junk yards and sadly a lot of them close up and disappear, but there are some left and you have to look if they let you :) . Here's one for ya ! the last story in this episode ( Danville, CA,) I know well and bought that bug and met with Marlene ! she is a very nice person. I was blown away when I saw my car ! I was thinking Marlene and Freds stash would be ideal for your show and there it is ! ...I haven't spoke with Marlene since I purchased the bug last summer, but It sure was fun walking through her yard and I helped her sort out some of the VW stuff she had. There was less there than when you filmed so people are helping here place these vehicles to happy homes I guess...as for the bug it needed somethings but like you say if your handy sometimes you can take some of these cars and with sweat equity make yourself a cool driver or a show car if you prefer . I drive the bug daily and it looks a little better than in your vid, but its a solid car, original paint ( under some rattle can touch up ) and never hit ( all doors and trunks align and close nicely) with some rust ( no biggie ) from original dried out window seals ...happy hunting !

You made comment about the early days of AC in small block cares & how it diminished power. I believe you've been here to Arizona? If you talk I-17 north from Phoenix to Flagstaff, outside of Phoenix there is a relatively steep climb up to what's called Sunset Point. As you approach the hill, there is still a sign suggesting you turn your AC off for the climb...

Do you ever come to Hawaii? There are neat cars here. I found a 40 Chev. Spl. Deluxe that had 31K on the clock and saw the bombs fall in 41 at Waipio pt. Naval housing the Isobe family garage bought it in 44, painted it once and didnt drive it much. Gone now, they closed the garage, 1928 to2008. Across from my house in Ewa Beach was an lhd RR MPW coupe, a Hong Kong refugee. I have not been car hunting in about ten yrs, but they are still here. 1960s condos in Waikiki are good. Weatherproof areas where someone brought a year old car in 1966 and drove it once ayear or so. I saw some sort of Intermeccanica in a junkyard out here in the dry Westside.
