I appreciate all the helpful info. I have an Epi Dot which I recently turned into a baritone, C to C. You have me curious about flatwound strings. But for baritone, it seems I need to go brighter. The Dot had been a pretty much dark sounding guitar before I installed HB size P90s. I have a custom set of strings on order from StringJoy: 11 14 20p 30 42 56 I had bought their baritone med gauge set, and the 58 was too thick for the locking tuner. I have a String Butler, and that clips under the lowest string tuner nut, so that is probably why the 58 would not work. I do mostly fingerpicking folk-rock on the baritone acoustic I have. That is tuned C to C, with lowest string being a 56. Eventually I want to upgrade from the Dot to the Viking, and then make all the changes you made. But for pickups, I am thinking a Filter'Tron type. I'd have to get that in a HB size, right? The SD Psyclone looks interesting ... thanks again! Can you list the parts you installed, like the upgrades jack?

Hi Todd! Yes, the pickup routing and brackets are designed for standard humbucker-sized pickups. Pickups would need to be that size in order to install without further modification. Parts installed: Lindy Fralin Pure PAF humbuckers Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch CTS 500k pots (2 standard, 2 push-pull) Oval jack plate (you can find them on StewMac) Output jack (unknown make, my luthier deemed it necessary to replace and used what he had on hand) As I mention in the video, the stock mechanical elements (nut, tuners) are quite good.

Somewhere in the same ballpark for sure. It's a pretty standard C-shaped neck. If you are looking for a particularly chunky neck, I would look elsewhere, but if a chunky neck bothers you, this guitar should be fine.
