Oikawa could not work with anyone? Dude, you couldn't be further away from the truth. Ushiwaka who is Oikawa's #1 rival literally said that Oikawa could bring out the best in any team. You must have already seen that he brings out the best in Kunimi and Kindaichi (both struggled while playing with Kageyama). Hoping you'll atleast understand this when Kageyama does his next recon thing at Johsai

If Oikawa had accepted Shiratorizawa invite, Karasuno dream on reaching Nationals would end there... I doubt Shirato would lose to anyone at prefecture matches.

Ushijima isn't an asshole btw, he's just extremely blunt and says whatevers on his mind. he is really socially awkward and that makes his words sound "asshole-ish" if that makes sense. think of what he says as sound punch to the gut, his words hide no meaning.

@@kineretgilboa2391 He has some similarities, but he's a little different to Kageyama. Ushijima actually shows a lot of autistic traits, which explains a lot of how he acts towards other people and also how he is regarding volleyball.

yeah but you get introduced to this side of him BY WATCHING THE SHOW. ushiwaka is an asshole at first because you lack context to the rest of this character. them not liking him makes sense and it was written to be that way.

And to be fair he's got every right to say what he thinks, he's one of the best in Japan and Karasuno are kind of an average team with some crazy talented people.

It’s misunderstanding his entire character, assigning more negative qualities to him than he already has (from their head canon) while reassigning his positive traits to someone they do like, such as Kageyama. It’s incorrect and frustrating.

Ushiwaka is not a douche, he's just being Gordon Ramsey. If Ransey said your food is suck, he actually means it without any malice behind it. It's like when Lebron or MJ said your basketball skill is bad, they actually means it very bluntly

@@Jagger-lc1fe It's simple actually, it's because of the intention while he's saying it. Let's say if Hinata failed his exam and both Kageyama and Ushiwaka called him stupid. Kageyama would say so in an emotional way cause he would be angry that Hinata can't come to Tokyo which means they can't practice against strong teams. But Ushiwaka would say it without any other meaning , non emotional kinda way like "You couldn't pass your exam, therefore you are not smart. You're stupid" This wasn't a good example but I hope I can make you understand a bit better. Maybe we can say that Ushiwaka acted rude but he's definitely not a douche

In case you guys need to know, National Youth team means that Ushiwaka is Olympic level, which means that at this point he is better than Oikawa and anyone in the prefecture. Kageyama is not there yet and definitely not Hinata And i do hope you guys won't mistake between athletism and skill. Hinata case, he is very athletic, jump high and quick reflex but his skill and exp is among the lowest even in his own team. Honestly, the only reason Hinata is a starter in the first place cuz he's the MC and Kageyama is there to buff him. Otherwise, Hinata will start as benchwarmer until the 3rd year are out

A thing I really like about the confrontation with Ushiwaka is that the thing that initially sets Hinata off isn't even Ushiwaka insulting Kurasuno, but Aoba Johsai (by saying everyone on that team but Oikawa is weak). Because Hinata just watched how every one of those players fought their ASSES OFF to beat Kurasuno, and he's like "Nah. You don't get to talk shit about them. They ALL earned that win and you can catch hands." Reason 635 Hinata's a real one.

He wasn’t necessarily wrong, like Seijoh is strong obviously but remember back in season 1 when they had the practice match. And Karasuno (an unstable team at the time) was able to beat them without Nishinoya and Asahi (two of their strongest players). And guess who wasn’t there, Oikawa, he’s able to bring out the best in everyone which means he can ultimately make players seem stronger than they actually are. That’s why without Oikawa, Seijoh is significantly weaker. So Ushijima wasn’t that wrong from a certain point of view

I guess it's relevant to say that shira-tori means white bird, so in this case Shiratorizawa is an eagle just like karasuno is a murder of crows (never cease to amaze me the choice of word for groups of animals)

I must have watched at least 5 reactors react to Haikyuu and you guys are the only one consistently wrong about character motivations and personalities. Even for things that they've clearly explained multiple times. It's the whole point of all those flashbacks, but it's like you all turn your brain off whenever they happen. At least Maggie from Blindwave had the benefit of the doubt about Oikawa because the dub can be a bit wierd at time, but what's going on with you? There's 6 of you. How does that even happen?

And well we all know that Aoba Josai is made up of 90% oikawa. I mean, Karasuno(even without Nishinoya and Asahi) was beating Aoba Josai, but Oikawa turned the tides even though he entered late in the game. Even in other matches, Oikawa's serves and tricky dumps etc scored a lot of scores, way more that he should have to. Compared to that his team's contribution is always very low(other than Iwaizumi perhaps.)

Yea, even shiratorizawa who is known for their simple and predictable strategy have a lot more talented and better trained player. The only reason why Shiratorizawa is not much stronger cuz the coach did not focus much on polishing their strategy and use Shirabu instead of Semi, who is a better setter

And I might not be the only one. But I’m pretty sure this demeanour of them won’t change even after being shown more of Ushiwaka. It may even be worse after season 3. It's 'Hinata Shouyou'' and his name pronounced '' Show-yo-'' . Hinata means "'Sunshine'' and Shouyou means '' Fly high''. ''Shojo'' means virgin. It's different.

ANOTHER BIG LOL.😂 i literally predict from season 1 that they gonna hate Ushiwaka cuz they think he's a jerk. 😂😂 They hate on two characters that work they ass off to become who they are now.
