I would say Jim Carey was influenced by Bruce Campbell since he came into the scene many years later and would replace Carey with the 3 stooges .

It’s apparent from his acting. He reminds me a bit of Weird Al’s acting, when he’s acting serious. It’s not really acting, it’s wearing one’s emotions on their sleeve. And some may call it “bad acting”, but many people aren’t the most subtle in every situation. Bruce represents the kind of plain-honesty a lot of us wish we could get away with.

Your remark is very interesting. In fact, the voice of actors in the 50s and 60s was often recorded on tape using microphones that had poor high-frequency response compared to modern microphones (which had its advantages in terms of wind protection, for example, and there was no need to record high frequencies back then, since there was no "hi-fi" back then). Tape recording produced distortion that made the voice coarser and slightly unnatural. Bruce's voice always seems to sound in such a way that no matter what microphone he speaks through, he sounds with a lack of high frequencies, except if he does not speak into a very close standing microphone. From my vocal lessons, as I understand it, Bruce should have been able to speak exactly the same and clearly even if he had not a single teeth, because this is the only way I see the possibility of cutting high frequencies from my voice without using additional processing or special equipment. It is possible that Bruce trained to speak, as ancient orators taught this - with stones behind his cheeks. Plus, Bruce has a very good air supply, his voice always sounds the same in volume, and this is not only in films, but also in interviews. Perhaps it also reminds us of the sound of actors from 50s and 60s. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Bruce Campbell is super-high skilled at his voicing. I don't believe that there is a chance just to randomly say so many phrases that became so well quoted classic, like "Groovy", "I'm a man with a gun", "Give me some sugar, baby" etc without A LOT of practicing. Of course, I'm exaggerating that he doesn't use his teeth at all. The teeth are what give the amplification, definition and high frequencies. In the same phrase, we can hear that only certain sounds from Bruce sound bright, and the rest of the phrase can sound like actors from the 50s and 60s and he just able to keep it clear and definitive.

I've met Bruce many times, he's an awesome individual. One time, he stayed until 2am to sign books for his fans on Halloween. We waited in line for six hours. I got him to sign two posters (Living Dead) and his two books.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The year was 2004 and the movie the Notebook had just been released. My girlfriend at the time was freaking out wanting to go see it but I had another idea. I told her that, if she was going to drag me to that movie, and if I was going to sit through it patiently, then she would have do something for me. Starz just gave Bruce Campbell his own tv series called "Ash Vs. Evil Dead"....It seems to me that they finally saw Evil Dead and Jack of all trades and realized it's time to give the people a series with a proper badass. Army of Darkness isn't a horror movie because you should be scared of the forces of evil, the horror is felt by the forces of evil because they fear nothing more than Campbell. Besides, those Expendables movies are only for big dumb musclebound dudes whose only talent is looking impressive (and also Jet Li is in there even though he could actually rip most of those other actors to shreds). In my opinion, Bruce Campbell was very well-utilized by being cast in Burn Notice. The funny and debauched sidekick who can still beat the shit out of the bad guys? That is 100% the role he was born to play.
