Heya heya. Not a chit style gamer? Understand. It's not, nor does it need to be, for everyone. :). Yeah, the company has been really grateful and that's been pleasant. I've enjoyed the exercise (I'll probably link to the rules guide once I'm done next week, so people can evaluate it). I think doing it helped me appreciate rules writers more, but also helped me understand that what I'm asking for is not too outlandish. :) You have a great day too! Always love your posts.

Yeah, it really is a sweet spot between easy and complex wargaming. Fits nicely in the middle and pretty ingenious in my opinion.

​@@hairbrainedgames3127 I only tried it solo to learn yet. Rules where obviously not written in English and have been translated. I am not Spanish but have seen other such ... languge issues with games translated (not the words but structure/languge "logics"). A very nice game with sound mechanics. I hope itt gets reprinted with touch ups on player aids and rules. If one likes Paths of Glory (GMT) this is the light faster variant. Much faster and easier to learn. Can't wait to try this in real with 2-4 players :)

It was Absolute War! To clarify, I don't think it's a bad game, but the instructions were split between two modes and trying to ascertain the information on the system was impossible for my brain to wrap around. I intend to someday revisit it. Hopefully time and tide will provide me with an easier time getting it all figured out.

@hairbrainedgames3127 I had the feeling it would be that game 🤣I bounced off that one hard too, for the same reasons. Plus, being colour-blind made the colours of the attack icons a bloody nightmare.

@@thelesserhumungous2927 Yay! I'm not the only one who found it perplexing. I do appreciate that the designer, in various threads, was honest enough to say he didn't like writing rulebooks. It shows. :) Oh man, having to deal with that rulebook *and* color blind unfriendly tokens? Yeah, I will revisit it at some point again, but I could totally see you drop kicking it into space! :)

@hairbrainedgames3127 I agree that it's not a bad game, but I think it suffers from the current GMT manuals problem - Hitlers Reich and a few others have recently had this issue. Like you, I've retained it in the hope that one day my brain can grok it, or a 2nd edition rules appears.
