Need some help choosing the right length of hair extensions for you? Our hair extensions length guide takes you through each of the different lengths we have on offer. From 12″ all the way to 30″, we have a length to cater for every look. In this extensions hair length guide, our model Madeline is 5"7 and wears Ice Queen Platinum Blonde #60.
You can use our hair extension length chart below to help you out:
12 inch: our shortest length which sits above the bust area
14 inch: our second shortest length which sits above the bust area
16 inch: sits around mid bust line - great for a natural, everyday look
20 inch: our most popular length at ZALA - this falls comfortably below the bust area
24 inch: sits at the waist area - can be curled whilst maintaining length
26 inch: considered very long and sits at the hips - great for taller girls
30 inch: our longest length at ZALA - sits past the hips for those serious about long hair

Also, I've learned that buying the longer extensions last much longer because you can cut them when they start to get dried out like you would your own hair and your extensions will live on!

Best platinum blonde extensions color I've seen. My personal favorite length on this model was 14-16 inch range and am curious how 18 inches would look on her despite you not offering the size as I felt 20 inches and above was too much. All in all, VERY useful video. My only critique is not modeling the 30 inch length on this model as well.

I’m short (5’0) and I got 20 inch before and it looked weird on me I felt like I looked like “IT” off the Adams family Lol so I got the 16 inch and I’ve received way more compliments!

wish you guys carried the longer extensions in all colors. i have dirty blonde/light brown hair and can only go up to 24” which is about the same length as my natural hair. please expand your color selection!!! 🙏🏼

Hi there! We do have over 25+ shades at ZALA, however unfortunately longer lengths such as our super long 26" and 30" are very hard to source, hence we can only offer these in a limited amount of shades at this time. Our Dirty Blonde #12 is available in 26 inches though :) Otherwise you can always go for a lighter set in the 30 inch range and dye darker if needed

That will explain it! Unfortunately Dirty Blonde #12 is not available in 26 inches in the USA now. You could go for Honey Blonde #18 which is the shade warmer though :) As mentioned it can always be colored if needed - just make sure you test your dye on 1 small section first!

Damn wish this was available a couple weeks ago before I bought mine! I already have long hair and was recommended the 24 inch but you can tell where my current hair sits so I'll have to get them cut, the 20inch would have been the perfect length to blend in and add volume to my hair!

Hi Natalie, Great question! You're absolutely right :) Our model is approx 5'7, therefore as you are shorter a 20 inch set will appear much longer & sit slightly lower. You may want to try the 16 inch set, or perhaps purchase a 20 inch set and trim the hair to taste.

Hi Angie! Our model is approximately 5'7", so the 20 inch set would sit lower on you and appear slightly longer! You can always trim the sets to the length you desire if you find they are too long.

Hi! Our model in this video is about 5'7, so the 14 inch set may sit a little longer on you :) It should be perfect if you want a very natural everyday length, otherwise if you feel it's too short you can always exchange to the 16 inch set within 60 days by following our returns instructions.

Hi there, Thanks for your message :) You can certainly dye or tone your Human Hair extensions if there are not a perfect match, or if you desire a custom colour. Our sets can be safely toned/dyed as ZALA Hair is premium quality 100% Human Remy Hair :) In saying this however as you plan on dying your extensions after significant use (a year) we would recommend purchasing a new set upon changing hair colours! As a general guide: - 12 inch sits just below the shoulders and is our shortest length at ZALA - 14 inch sits above the bust area - 16 inch sits around mid bust line - great for a natural, everyday look - 20 inch is our most popular length at ZALA - this falls comfortably below the bust area - 24 inch sits at the waist area and can be curled/styled whilst still maintaining great length - 26 inch is considered very long by industry standards and sits at the hips - great for taller girls - 30 inch is our longest length at ZALA and sits past the hips, perfect for those serious about long hair You can also always have a hairdresser cut layers into your extensions for you! Hi Irene, Our model Madeleine wears the 9 piece set in all lengths :) As a guide, we usually suggest the 5 piece set for thin/fine hair and the 9 piece set for those with medium to thick hair or who want to achieve volume/thickness. We usually recommend the 9 piece set for seamless blending & the most natural look.

I really need some help deciding the length for my extensions. Right now my hair sits a couple inches below my collarbone and I'm afraid if I get something too long it won't look natural. I am only 5'2". Should I get the 14 inch or the 16 inch?

Hi Morgan, We'd suggest going for the 16 inch as you can always trim this to taste if needed :) Otherwise the 14 inch set generally sits above the bust line, so this would be more ideal for adding volume and a bit of length!

Hi Amy, Our 16 inch 5 piece set is 110 grams and our 9 piece set is 200 grams. We would recommend the 5 piece set for thin hair types and the 9 piece set for thick hair types :)
