In this video I review the Aveda Invati Advanced kit that contains shampoo, conditioner and scalp revitalizer. I give my honest and unsponsored opinions on whether it works for HAIR LOSS and I also judge it on these criteria:
Shampoo:
-Thickening
-Volumizing
-Shine
-Moisture
-Fragrance
-Softness
-Cleansing Power
-Lather
-Who is it best for?
Conditioner
-The weight
-Texture on dry hair
-How much do you need?
-Who is it best for?
Make sure you watch to the end for my final grade on each, you might be surprised!

I used to work at Aveda. Pretty sure they told you you need more than a week to notice a difference🤦🏾‍♀️. It's like expecting to lose all the weight you gained on a week. Kind of silly.

I have been using these products since last March. There are currently other versions of this product now. It is the nicest hair loss prevention program I have ever used. I can't say I have the hair of a twenty year old, but it has made my hair stronger and it has grown more in the last year than it has in years. Regarding an itch, I never felt itchy with this product. It actually feels very soothing. If you have the money, it is worth your time.

So where did they promise a change in a week? Idk I would never expect results in a week with anything.
@HelenAvery
@HelenAvery 3 жыл бұрын
So, they don't. They promise to "Reduce hair loss by 53% from brushing in 12 weeks." I'm not willing to use it for that long because I don't like it and initial results were terrible for me. Please let me know if you buy it and after 3 months, it works for you, I'd be curious to know! I think I've been upfront about how long I've tried it for, it says literally One Week in my thumbnail ;) Thanks for watching!

@@HelenAvery as an ex aveda rep…it’s 33% not 53. & lowkey sounds like your not rinsing properly causing your itchiness & what did you say gummy feeling ? Iunno but you didn’t use the products properly or for long enough . & fluffs up the cuticle???? Not shiny ?? Try rinsing with cold to close the cuticle making it shinier. No lather ??? Did you wash more than once ? Why even buy and not try . Just to post a video?

Great vid: just wanted to add that I just finished a new health book called Radical Longevity and chapter 15 is "Reverse Hair Loss." Aveda shampoos were listed in chemical-free shampoos. I don't think it's that organic hair products stop hair loss as much as the cheap ones cause it if that makes sense. OGX, Pantine and Treseme have been sued for containing DEA that causes hair loss and probably other health problems. Also, there are many chemicals that mess up our female hormones and cause us to shed hair. Thanks for your videos on hair loss and you may just love that book I discovered. There's all kinds of health advice for hair, skin and nails I'm looking forward to trying.

The shampoo has a wintergreen derived salicylic acid acid which is a chemical exfoliation that helps remove build up on the scalp. The color comes from the turmeric which is a yellow color. The aroma you smell is organic lavender, rosemary and geranium. Interesting take on the invati system!

I really did want to love it! I love any Aveda product I've tried, including shampoos, but not this one. I would also like them to remove the fine print that says it prevents hair loss due to breakage. Women believe it's just for all hair loss, not due to breakage. Just my take. Thank you for the insightful comment! :)

Thank you so much for your review on the products. I did just like you, bought the travel size.i bought the light shampoo,conditioner and scalp treatment. I did pick up the mousse, which I love! I did the scalp treatment at night because my hair is just too thin and fine and would weigh it down. I didn't purchase it so much for hair loss but more to strengthen and prevent the breakage. I'm really liking it so far. It is more expensive than many I have used but I feel I have to use a smaller amount. I, like you have noticed I'm not losing many strands of hair since I started it. A couple weeks ago I got the full size on-sale so will try the full 3 months and see how it goes. It feels better though. My normal shampoo us Matrix unbreak my blond. That's a great one too. Keep giving us good feedback!

My hair is FLAT. Straight. Colored with Aveda product. I purchased the samples of Invati ( yes, expensive ). I used Invati shampoo, small amount of the conditioner. I then strategically used a very small amount of thickening foam in the spots where I had hair shedding ( sides of my head above ears and behind temples both sides ). Shedding happened about a month after covid. Also put the foam at the crown of my head where I wanted lift. My hair, in the past, could not take any thickening stuff. Just flattened my already flat hair. This really worked for me. I’ve been told that over time my covid hair loss will regrow ( by other women that experienced loss too ) so as much as I would like to find something that cost less to give me some fullness, I haven’t had anything that gave me the lift, shine, fullness and look that Invati delivers. It doesn’t take much product at all to wash, condition, or foam so I’m justifying the cost based on that reality. I anticipate using the Rosemary Mint Shampoo a couple times a week to avoid build up. Time will tell but out of the gate, it’s great. On my frustrating hair!

The shampoo is said to be exfoliating because two of its ingredients are Lactic acid and Salicylic acid. Those are chemical exfolliaters who work by "softening/melting away/breaking the bonds of" dead skin cells and allowing them to separate themselves from live skin cells: you just apply, let it penetrate and rinse off (the longer you leave it on, the more effective it is). On the other hand, mechanical exfoliators have particles that get rubbed into the skin/scalp (the harder you rub the more effective it is). Depending on the nature of the particles, the effect will be like using a rubber or sandpaper on your skin/scalp. The friction will at the very least cause crumpling of the skin and very likely some microtearing. Chemical exfolliaters are considered more effective and less damaging. That being said, when you are not used to them, you might feel some irritation at the beginning. You just need to space out applications for a while (ie. don't use it every single day straight from the beginning). You might start to use it once or twice a week, then if you don't react every 2 or 3 days, etc... If you have mild sensitivity wait until it goes away. If you have a severe reaction, stop using (you might be or become sensitive/allergic to any number of ingredients at any stage of your life)

I’m 26 years old I started letting my hair grow long when I was 18 years old and it got pretty long. In the beginning of the year I cut it really short and start to let my hair grow again using the ivanti shampoo and nourishment exfoliating and it’s grown much much faster it’s only been 3 months and I My hair is really long. I have really healthy hair my dad is in his 60s and he’s still has good hair so when I started using aVeda I didn’t know if I should try it since my hair is already healthy. But I did anyways and it’s great I feel like it grows so much faster. So if you have healthy hair still use it.

I am interested in getting this product for my mom who is suffering with thinning hair loss, oily hair and itchy scalp which are issues for this hair issue. I have tried low to high brand prices and to be honest overwhelmed whst to believe is good and does the job. Is this product good for those things I listed? Plz help before I go spend all that money for my mom as Aveda is not cheap. Unless you have tried a product that is better you may suggest? I use only Keratise and got there thinning brand for her. But made her hair itch and oily. Thanks.

Post pregnancy telogen effluvium is quite common.. You need to up your folate iron and b complex intake if you're deficient, maybe calcium as well. And you could use a hair serum containing redemsyl, procapil which prolong the active phase of the hair cycle (I think the ordinary peptide serum has those). Hope this helps!

Nioxin sucks compared to Invati from my experience🤷🏼‍♀️ but her experiences have been different from mine on lots of products so I think it's hard to say what will work for whom. I can say for sure that the Redken dense fx beats the heck out of Nioxin diamax hands down when it comes to the appearance of more fullness in the hair. I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

Aveda avanti isn’t for hair loss due to alopecia. Its only claim is to reduce hair loss due to breakage from brushing. 🤷‍♀️ Gotta read the fine print. The marketing for products like this often say “appears” thicker, fuller, stronger, etc. “Appears” is subjective. They don’t claim to actually make the hair thicker, fuller, stronger.

So you literally knew it would take 12 weeks to see any progress… used it for a week… then complained you had no results. Lady…. Really? Aveda is expensive yes. It’s honestly an investment. A liter of my shampoo is $125, and it lasts over a year. The curl cream lasts me 9 months. Higher quality product means you use less quantity. If you’re going to do a review… do the 12 weeks.
