I am trying to get my long hair back to balance, since my head is overloaded with (i think) protein. It is pretty unmanageble at the moment. Dry/Brittle/strawy and not combable on Wash day. And on the next day when combing through it is oily again; but not the good natural sebum light kind of oily - but the help my scalp is going to war type (scalp is irritated and burns after shampoo) This is weird because normally my hair is easy to maintain and grows out with little to almost no breakage/splits Would you recommend to use a clarifiyng shampoo (with sulfates)? And should i take further steps on preparing my scalp for shampoo beforehand ? Please help me hair-sensei, i dont wanna damage my 1 1/2 year mane :D

I have the exact same hair type. It's really straight and kinda flat too. The hair is short at the front like it reaches my eyes and the back is quite long, it reaches my shoulders. If you are a swimming freak too.. A protective product helps prevent salt and chlorinated water damage.. Plus a swimming cap

@@harambe8372 salt water is great for the body and surely for nasal ear problems.. But not for the hair, it dries it out more intense and makes it brittle to be brushed.. I just wash out salt directly after every dip.. I have long hair and I stay long every dip..:) hope the great TheSalonGuy approves of my treats..

I have a question about your shampoo and leave in conditioner product you mentioned in the beginning of the video. Does this shampoo and conditioner work well with dyed hair? In terms of not having a special shampoo for hair dye but rather using this.

Grow crown hair like , undercut then after a year or more style it for the actual long hair do , grow hair while bulking not while cutting , so i will do another shorter do before growout, cause fatty liver issues is preventing me to eat about for staying chubby cheeky

I started watching you to help convince my husband to grow his hair, and then he started watching for tips. Now i want a video i can show my son. He has decided he wants to grow his hair out, but doesnt want his hair in his eyes. Its not long enough for a hair tie yet, but maybe you could make a video geared for teaching ten year olds basic hair maitenance and style tips for when they still have soft fine hair but want to have surfer waves. The thing i google the most and find no results are ways to keep long hair out of boys eyes. There's a lot of mothers defending their choice to not cut their kids hair short, very little actual answers on how to help my kid not have his hair in his eyes when playing.

Hi. There’s nothing you can do unless you cut it to where it’s not hanging in his eyes. He can keep twisting his head to make his hair sweep over but it’s a matter of him being ok with it and you thinking it’s too long. Search sweeping haircut TheSalonGuy

@@TheSalonGuy i mean there's styling products for kids why not teach them to style it properly while theyre young instead of saying the only choice is to cut his hair and wait til he isnt running and playing like a kid before growing it out. Hes thankfully not picked up on the head twisting hair flip action that looks ridiculous, but the only solution isnt cutting the kids hair when he wants it longer.

Careful when combing when it's wet it can stretch the hair an use a wide comb, an not an expert but those are some tips I learnt a while ago

Yes a wide comb is ok but when we cut hair we comb wet hair so it’s ok.

I've grown my hair out four times in my 37 years. While acknowledging that I've never been fashionable or cool, I just let it grow from wherever it was and it was fine.
