I am right there with you I love gray hair, although it took me many years to get to that point. And I would agree there's nothing worse than that regrowth stage before you can get your hair colored again so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.

There are more women than ever that are going gray, and there is a huge network of women called the Silversister's for you to lock arms with during the process to champion you. The time it will take to grow out your gray if you decide to do so, I will pass much sooner than you realize.

For me, 4 decades +. I too took the plunge. I'm relieved & excited. Just snipped the last 2" of dyed hair off. Been cutting my hair since 1st lockdowns I also dyed my hair. Now, to explore fun, bleach free hair tints! 💜

Oh, I totally get it. It's definitely a very personal choice. I was dying my hair so often and it got to where Even my Grey around my temples would not cover! I didn't realize how exhausting it was until after I stopped, and had the freedom to not have to stress and plan my life around my gray hair.

I understand I think between societies beauty standards, telling us that gray makes us look old or unattractive, coupled with our friends and family, who are also stuck in that old mindset, make it difficult, sometimes to break free to see things in a new perspective.

I totally understand stay strong, we all have those moments, but in the end, my inclination is you're going to absolutely love your fully grown silvercrown. If you have to wear hats braid your hair, ponytails phony ponies there so many options to help you through the transition if necessary.💗

I understand your embarrassment - my first grey were about 17 years old. You have the opportunity to ditch the dye and embrace the grey journey - i suspect if you did so - you would find a new sense of freedom from within- and new ways to fall in love with your grey tinsel. Just a thought:)

Those aren't wrinkles on your face, they are crinkles. Aging is beautiful, painful at times, but beautiful.

Your words came in to my lifr after many years that i were feeling too much pressure about my gray hairs that from 20 until now became more and more... To diyig my hair black, again n again,and doing this by myself, A praxis that I was love to do became like punishment... I love it, when i see you, I need patience to do that .. My hair always were weak and not enough to the top of my head. Never growing up,only to the shoulders. At 42 for first time my hair being to much growth... that i wouldn never imagine... That years i have been in a relationship that make me feel really pretty... Maybe this is what really i neaded... Now i m not good inside me, i dont feel good.. not for my hair, but about my life. Maybe if i have written you in my language i would make most easy to make you and all friends here to understand what I mean. Maybe i ll try it if that is not a big problem for you.. i know that your time, everyone 's time is expensive and you don't need to spend KZfaq time on me...
