The Hair usually starts to grow between the 2nd and 3rd month post transplantation. Those were definitly not his results after 4 months but rather like 6 or 7

I have a question.. does he take only finasteride after hair transplant or minoxidil?? What is the medication does he take.? Does only finasteride helps ?? Or we should take minoxidil and finasteride both after post surgery??

He is taking only oral Tablet Finasteride 1 mg daily. Ideally, he should have been taking the tablet, using Minoxidil lotion before his procedure. These medicines have nothing to do with hair transplantation. If someone wants to retain his hair and prevent the miniaturization of the hair then he should use these medications. If someone is balding and he comes to us, as part of the holistic management plan, we prescribe medications to prevent the ongoing baldness and do the procedure upon the area where there is no chance of hair regrowth by medicines.

Great result but 4596 grafts is not the true number, it might be around 3000 or 3500, we can't extract more than that at once, if done there will be a thin donor area for the patient

Yes true, overextraction can cause thinning in donor area. However, the total number of grafts one can extract also depends on overall head size.

@Leonne B93 he would have gradually lost his pre existing hair. This would account for another transplant in the newly emptied areas. The transplanted hair will grow regardless of the medications.

The post surgery precautions are: Avoid touching or fiddling with the transplanted zone. - Avoid bumping your head into any external object like a car (door, roof) or a wall, etc. - Avoid sleeping prone, so that the transplanted grafts are not damaged by pressure/rubbing. - Spray the saline on the transplanted area at 3 hourly intervals for the first 72 hours post surgery. - Betadine scrub for head wash for the back of head. - You can wear a loose baseball cap after the surgery or not wear anything on the head at all. - You can resume your normal physical activity from the next day itself. - You can start heavy physical exercise after 6-7 days. - You can start using your normal shampoo (preferably DOVE) after 7 days. We do not have a branch in Bangalore.

No sir transplant is not dangerous untill done in experienced hands. It's a superficial surgery. And there are no long term or short term side effects of a hair transplant
