A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I quit wearing hair ties because it leds to tension breakage. (2) I began massaging my hair and scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to shield my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to wash my hair.

lol tbh, i've learned that although somethings can be damaging, they can also be unavoidable. for example, if i have a lot going on, then i might put my hair up in a tight ponytail without even thinking. the best thing to do is to try and avoid these things, but don't break your back (not literally) trying to make it happen lol

The steam pod is a game changer for me. Ive been waiting for it to come to the US and actually screamed when I saw Sephora carrying it!! I bought it at Christmas and I’m retaining SO much length. My stylist is always impressed how healthy my hair is because I always keep it straightened. Just remember ladies you have to use distilled water!

You need to specify how letting your hair air dry is more damaging than blow drying, cause I swear it’s the other way around
@emris9965
@emris9965 3 жыл бұрын
It is air drying is how you should dry your hair because it avoids heat and is natural I’m guessing she said it’s not because of fine dust
@may3u
@may3u 3 жыл бұрын
@@emris9965 you can blow it on cold temperature , leaving it wet can make it break bc you sit down and do things and your hair touches stuff and it's just very fragile when it's wet
@binirobinson4648
@binirobinson4648 3 жыл бұрын
@@may3u but blow drying hair on low heat just makes your hair more prone to frizz. Like you said your hair is fragile when wet, but when blow drying, your hair is flailing around like a wet spaghetti noodle ( no matter what heat level ). So either way you will have damage to your hair and split ends. Honestly air drying is still better, in my opinion.
@truestory_4
@truestory_4 3 жыл бұрын
Your hair is at its most vulnerable state when wet. It breaks off easier. One tip not mentioned was sleeping on silk or satin pillow cases as well. Less friction means less damage from tossing and turning.

Hi. Loved your video! I’m looking for the KZfaq that video shows the steampod side angle and found yours. Your steampod’s two plates do not line up together when they are closed. Do you need to use a great deal of pressure to make them line up? I got mine not long time ago and two plates don’t line up when they are closed. I am not sure that is the default setting or faulty🤔 Thanks.

Hi Audrey should I sleep with my hair down or with my hair in a low pony ???

Either is fine but use a silk or satin pillow case. Anything else will break hear as you toss and turn. The silk or satin creates more slippage. If your hair is long, braid it at night or you can put it in a clip on top your head. You can wear a silk hear wrap too. Kind of like a plastic cap but made od silk or satin.

I used the argan oil one and it was really bad for me, made my hair super frizzy and suffered hair fall for 3 times that i used it then i stopped, i read so many rave reviews about it but it didn't work for me. I can't find this one in my country. One thing it gave me volume after washing my hair.

I can’t imagine letting your Hair air dry be more damaging than blowing it out ?;( please elaborate ty

I heard it could be damaging because of the water staying on hair for a long time. It can effect scalp health as well. Maybe blow drying with cold air would be safest option 🤷🏻‍♀️

The hair swells when it is wet and leaving it vulnerable for however long it takes to air dry is worse. Sometimes it takes hours to dry and then if the hair is being messed with during that time like constant touching or tugging can be bad. I will still air dry for the most part but when I don’t I use my dyson and I’ve found it’s very gentle with my hair and I have hardly any split ends or breakage, I make sure to use heat protectant. Also the dyson doesn’t get as hot as other hair dryers where they would feel like I was burning my neck and scalp

It is dependent on how you do it. This is why air drying is more damaging than blow drying for me. When I air dry my hair, it takes around 4-5 hours to fully dry. That's a long time to leave my hair wet. I found this quote from a Bustle article that helps explain part of it: "You can create damage from air drying due to constant water exposure," Melissa Peverini, celebrity hairstylist and Cricket Ambassador, tells Bustle. "Water causes hair to swell and can damage the membrane, weakening hair over time." Since hair is weakest when wet, you may lose your hair cut's original shape and body over time. Blow drying your hair after having it almost (but not quite) dry can help prevent some of this damage. Here's another quote I found: Leaving hair to dry naturally can be more damaging than intense heat. Hair can absorb up to 30 per cent of its own weight in water. The longer it stays wet, the worse things get, as it continues to swell. This is because repeated swelling followed by slow drying of hair causes something called the cell membrane complex (essentially the glue holding the cuticle together) to crack, permanently damaging the hair. You’d be better off drying your locks quickly with heat, rather than going au natural. (www.ghdhair.com/us/articles/the-science-of-drying-your-hair) The other part is that because I have long hair, I need to keep it up or else my son will pull on it. When your hair is wet, it's in a "weak state." Therefore, putting my hair up while it's wet will lead to damage...more damage than putting it up when it's dry. When I blow dry, I try to keep the dryer as far away from my hair as possible, while still allowing it to dry my hair. I also don't blow dry my hair when it's sopping wet. I put it up in a hair drying towel when I get out of the shower, then 20 min later I blow dry. And then, of course, I also use a heat protectant. My hair is healthier than it has ever been, and I blow dry 2x/week. My hair was SO damaged a few years ago...and I air dried 2x/week, no hair dye/bleach, nothing.

I recommend only trimming your hair a quarter of and inch every three months, but also measure your hair when you cut it, and takes pictures. This is what I started doing when I felt like my hair wasn’t growing. It helps you keep up with dead end but not to often and shows you the progress. Also I don’t recommend using heat, but instead styling your hair in protective hairstyles.
