I got my second Pfizer shot yesterday. I'm literally so grateful. I'm very, very high risk because of multiple health factors so covid would basically be a death sentence for me. It's been a big source of stress for me because while I don't work, my husband does and it really felt like he could be bringing death home. I almost can't believe that in a few weeks I'll be able to relax a little bit and maybe even leave the house on occasion. ETA: Not that anyone asked but I was curious before I got my shots. I had no side effects whatsoever from my first or second dose, other than a mildly sore arm for a few days. Very comparable to when I get a flu shot.

That’s awesome. I have health issues as well but I can’t really be vaccinated. I had a severe reaction to a vaccine. I hope that you will be able to feel a lot less stress soon.

This might sound really weird but I just got diagnosed with Autism and it has been the biggest thing cheering me up. Or at least like this huge weight came off me. It's been really emotional and such a different way to look back over my life, but it's been mostly a positive thing.

The downside is that there are a bunch of things that I have trouble with, social issues, sensory stuff, overwhelm, and meltdowns, that I now realize that will probably never improve much for me.

OMG WHAT!!! I was going to comment the exact same thing!! Although for me it's self diagnosed at this point, but just realizing that I likely have it has changed my life for the better. My brother was diagnosed when he was a child, but of course as a girl I was never diagnosed. Anyways sorry for jumping on your comment, but I'm so happy to see other people going through the same realizations as I am!

I had to click on Jude's IG to see if it was Hairstory! I'm obsessed. I've been using New Wash for almost a year as I have grown a bald head into a mullet, now shag. Undressed is incredibly. I use Hair Powder when my hair is too fresh or too oily. You're going to love it!!!

Your hair is LIT as the younguns say! She definitely nailed your esthetic. So many 80s vibes with a modern touch!! Chopped off about 13in of my mane myself last week. Big mistake. Okay I am waiting with BATED BREATH for the new haircare routine. I just got a haircut two days ago (45 minutes after finding out I didn't get a promotion I desperately wanted - my poor stylist), which is cheering me up a lot. Also an urban farm in my city offered seedling boxes this spring and I just finished planting all my new veggie babies this afternoon. I can't wait for them to grow up so I can eat them!

Ι only got my first dose of the vaccine earlier this week but it's had an impact on my mood to such a level where my colleagues make fun of me that there are side effects on my character! I'm really looking forward to the 2nd jab, and for my work (events) to begin! Also, Carmen Sandiego!!! What a trip!!!

Literally just came across Legendary and watched the first episode two hours ago. Of course, immediately wondered if you had seen it. Recommendation for Pose if you liked Paris Is Burning. Admittedly, I didn’t get into the 2nd season as much, but the 1st season took my breath away.

I happened upon the Netflix series Shadow and Bone I think like a week ago (I was a little late to the party lol) and I binged it in one day. It drew me in so much that I was able to catch completely up on laundry before getting sick of sitting and folding laundry, something that I have really struggled with since we moved into our new place in February. I loved the world Leigh Bardugo created so much that I then bought the Shadow and Bone trilogy and read the whole thing in like 4 days. It's reignited my love for reading and my desire to write, so I've signed up to take a creative writing class. Also I've been a stay-at-home mom since September 2019, which was not ever my plan, but between moving from Germany to El Paso, TX and then the pandemic really hitting 6 months later I couldn't find work, and it was no longer safe to put my daughter in daycare if we didn't absolutely have to. We have since left El Paso, for the East Coast and I have worked at getting my mortgage loan originator's license in a few local states, and I am starting a job with a mortgage bank on Monday! This has cheered me up so much! I feel so much more at peace knowing that my daughter is making friends with children her age and learning from caretakers that are passionate about teaching, and I am so happy that I'll be bringing money in for my family. If all goes well my husband will be able to leave his current job and go to school to work on a law degree and I'll be able to also go back to school (just as soon as I figure out what I want to be when I grow up 😅) Finally I get my second vaccine next Friday and my husband's is the following Thursday. We're really excited to be able to finally see our friends in the area.

Pose got me so into the ballroom culture. It’s such a beautiful show in both the art, culture, and character sense. It takes a look at the life of those in the 80s/90s scene and trans characters are played by amazing trans actresses. Highly recommend if you want some story line shows (but it definitely gets more serious dealing with issues like HIV and transphobia).

I'm getting my second shot tomorrow and I'm SO excited. In June I'm going to see my sister and it'll be the first time I've seen anyone in my family since Christmas 2019. Also, I think you'd really like Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts! It's a Netflix animated show in a very similar vein to Avatar or Steven Universe or Dragon Prince (I actually think it's better than Dragon Prince). So in case you need some more wholesome TV, check that out!

Cheering me up: Being fully vaccinated for a few weeks now - it still feels weird. After a year of living in literal fear for my life and that of those around me (extremely high risk family member) it's going to take quite some time to readjust. Also: Moving from Atlanta to Austin TX. It's been and still is a whirlwind experience, but even though sometimes stressful it's quite an exciting and joyful time. BTW: Casey says you might enjoy the Dragon Prince book series by Melanie Rawn

Love your new haircut ! If you're interested in the ballroom scene and you haven't watched it yet, "Pose" is the most beautiful series on the ballroom scene, the cast is wonderful, and as much as we all love "baby" series (why is animation considered baby though?) such as She-Ra, The Dragon Prince or Hilda (such a sweet delight), it's also really nice to watch gorgeously shot, produced and acted drama.

I almost never subscribe when that's the case, and I recently found someone else I also wanted to subscribe to, but her commercial breaks were too extensive. I wrote my feedback to her and she was like "give a gal a break" - with that attitude I of course subscribed right away.

Legendary is SO good! I didn't know Bob the Drag Queen and Monet X Change had a podcast or were doing a watch along for drag race or legendary though. Gonna get on that ASAP.

I'm also a huge fan of Bob and Monet (member of yours and their patreon, hihi). I didn't know Legendary was a competition show though, I don't live in the USA and for some reason thought it was scripted TV, so I'll definitely check out their recap soon! Thanks for the recommendations :)
