Man I might try this. I'm already doing something sort of similar, a burst fade mohawk. I've had some people call it a mullet even. I've lost a lot of weight so it might even be able to work since I'm not carrying so much dang fat on my face anymore.

I showed my barber the mullet and she tried, but she did the undercut WAY too high and the back too short, so it just looks like a bowl cut 💀I hope next time I go, it can look this good

any of my fellow black brothas who reading this... the closet this we could do to get this look is a "Burst Fade," use the coil sponge and you be ight. I will say tho, I would grow the hair out too long to avoid have like a mohawk, keep it relatively like about 1.5 inch
