The astronaut washing her hair in space was legitimately interesting! I’ve never thought about it either but yeah of course they have to wash their hair still! Now how about cutting hair in space…😅🤪

She wasn't in zero G or space, she was just upside down... That's why her face was so red, all the blood was rushing to it. NASA is well known for these fake "in space" videos😒😒 Her hair wouldn't stand straight up in Zero G, it's all BS and they bank on people being so "interested" they miss the obvious errors and logic. Tada😂

I cannot tell you how much I love your videos! I have a heart condition so I am permanently disabled and it depresses me a lot. I cannot drive either because of my disability so I am home a lot. But when I start feeling down I rewatch all your videos and binge watch them and it makes my day so much better so thank you so much for making these videos they literally are a life saver for me. Oh and one other thing I wanted to ask. Will you ever do ASMR again? That was so relaxing watching the first video you did and I would love to see more :) if you're ever in the states and come to Nashville TN I would love to meet you and say thank you for all you've done for me without knowing it and tell you in person. I would love to have a hair buddah hair cut/makeover too lol much love from Tennesse to you and your family!

I so enjoy your videos. People do some very unflattering things to their hair, unintentionally for the most part. I think it's so gracious of you to teach people how to cut and color properly while having a good time. The astronaut washing her hair was very interesting. I hadn't really considered how that would be accomplished in zero gravity.

I will say that the ponytail technique can work if done properly. I use it to trim my own hair, but there are multiple steps to accomplishing an even cut using it.

No sympathy for girls that act shocked when they cut their fringe way too short 😂. But there is an easy fix. Since the first girl only made a very thin section she can take another section from behind that to add more hair to lay over the original fringe but cut it longer this time. I cut longer than what I want in case I need to trim a bit more when I point cut and tidy things up. Another tip - don't lean forward and don't pull your hair tight. If U cut it with your head looking straight ahead and your hair relaxed you han see exactly how much you are cutting. It is so strange that this even needs explaining to adult women 🤭🤷

The ponytail method can work great if you have damp hair. All of the hair throughout needs to be carefully combed straight out from the head and put into the ponytail without twisting or rumpling it. Placement of the ponytail(s) must be precise. Not lopsided, but in the correct angle from the head. 2 ponytail holders should be used. The first is closer to the head, but then slid out till just before the cut point. Comb everything straight out from that ponytail holder before placing the next ponytail holder, a couple inches away from the first. Carefully cut between the ponytail holders, without pulling hair to the sides or sliding the ponytail holder accidentally. Ive used it many times on midback length to waist length hair. Done properly, it gives a beautiful layered cut with nice movement. Then I use the twist once method on the bangs, being careful to always go longer to begin with. Then the slid cut on the front sides. So pretty if all is done right. The problem is that most people dont pay attention to the finer points. They see "cut ponytail off," gorgeous result. It can be done, and done well, but few understand the concepts required, so the results entertain everyone else.😅 And real hairdressers get business fixing the poor result.

These hair fail videos are so addictive to watch. Some are hilarious, for some I feel sorry... Personally, I do well with cutting/trimming my waist-length tips myself with the ponytail technique. I've never had an accident with it. I've been doing it for years and always manage to get a nice, straight line (I had a phase, where I preferred a U-shape, which I also achieved easily). I do use proper hair scissors. I make sure to have wet hair, when I cut it. I part it in the middle, comb it out very, very neatly, tie it neatly(!) into two ponytails at the sides, and while I pull the hairbands down to the point where I intend to cut, for a straight hairline I make sure to lift my chin up, so the lengths in the back, which have now been pulled to the front, end up the same length as the hair from the sides and front of my head. Maybe it's practice, but I indeed have always gotten the nice, straight line I wanted. I don't even need anyone to even it out afterwards, because it's always good. Usually I only trim about 2 centimeters once or twice a year, but as I dye my hair entirely emerald green and thus have to keep bleaching the regrowth once or twice a year as well, every few years the ends of my hair need a bigger trim. Then I'll take off about 20 centimeters, and use the same cutting technique, again with nice results. Maybe I'm just lucky. I'm always astonished when I see, how badly this cutting technique ends for so many people. I wonder, what the difference is, because as long as it's not done hastily and sloppily (like not combing the hair properly to get it even), and as long as you don't cut croockedly or at a weid angle, or use dull craft or kitchen scissors, not THAT much should be able to go wrong? I mean, if this technique never worked well, I wouldn't be doing it for so many years.

Exactly, thank you! I did this cut on myself a couple months ago and it turned out great.... like you said, followed directions to the T. Removed 15 inches of weight, still have another 15 inches with beautiful layering. The chick in this one could have done better if she paid more attention to her sectioning (that was sooooo zigged zagged!), and she didn't brush enough to get rid of all the lumps and bumps before making the ponytails. Oh like Hair Buddha said, DEFINITELY invest in proper hair cutting scissors! I mean, they really do pay for themselves when you're not paying for a stylist and actually trying to follow directions with even a little bit of technique. 😁

The astronauts I know use these showercaps with an appropriate enough mix of water+shampoo+conditioner in them so that nothing separates nor floats around. They keep it on for an hour then dispose of it, towel dry hair, blow-dry. The same type of caps are used in hospitals for patients in terrible condition which can't be moved or washed otherwise. The caps are surprisingly good, like really good.

The tricks with the butterfly cut are. 1.) have your hair wet 2.) make sure there are no bumps or lumps in the hair following the curvature of your head to the ponytail holder. 3.) make sure that the ponytail holders are in the correct position before cutting, the back ponytail needs to be at the back of the crown of your head as close to the apex as possible (the split for the front and back tails is at the apex so it's basically impossible to get the back tail directly on the apex). While the front tail needs to have the ponytail holder right between your RELAXED eyebrows. 4.) measure how much you are cutting with a ruler or comb, the measurement should be out FROM the ponytails, NOT the ends. Also make sure that the tail you are cutting is brushed so there's no bumps/lumps in the tail leading to the cut location, and DO NOT PULL ON YOUR HAIR WHILE YOU'RE CUTTING!!!! this way you are getting a cut that will be able to properly connect without needing TONNES of blending or extra cutting. 5.) IMPORTANT!!!!! once you've made your 2 cuts, one on the front the other on the back pony take your hair down, brush/comb it and dry it fully so you can see what it looks like. ONLY if after seeing it down and dry, then blend if it needs it or cut more if you think you didn't take enough off. Honestly it is a rather simple cut, but it is also REALLY easy to mess up if you don't get the position of the ponytails correct, or you are using scissors that make you cut at a weird angle or something or that are dull...if you leave bumps/lumps against your head you're not going to get an even cut same for if there's bumps and lumps in the length of the ponytail that you are cutting. if you pull on it you're overdirecting with a lot of tension and your hair will come out uneven and a LOT shorter than you thought because your hair will bounce up a bit even for people with straight hair. I've done it on myself and it came out really nice, i have straight hair so it'd be EASY to see if it was messed up. If you're not willing to follow directions/instructions...then what the blazes are you doing cutting, coloring, dyeing your own hair for? go to a salon and get your hair professionally done.
