I had to cut my husbands and sons hair in the pandemic. I was petrified. Their hair didn’t look too bad after I’d cut it, but I took my time and tried to remember how the hairdresser cut their hair in the shop. The only saving Grace was that every bodies hair was terrible at the same time. Since watching Hair Buddha I have a profound respect for their profession. Never, ever again am I touching mine, or anyone else’s hair again.

I don't bother with fancy cuts. Just buzz it all off every 2 weeks. You can't mess up a buzz cut unless the problem is your face or head shape.

I’ve been cutting my own hair for 2.5 years now. I undercut the sides and back, and do a modified ponytail cut for the rest. But my hair is curly and hides the mistakes.

Learned to do short haircuts so I could give my guy friends haircuts during the pandemic, and the first few were rough… but I got really good at it, and some of them still come to me instead of going to the barber! Clipper guards are a lifesaver.

I have a pixie cut with an undercut. I get it cut by a hairdresser, but in between I clipper just the undercut myself (it grows really fast and can look untidy). I always do the "C-shape" because I paid attention to what the hairdresser did originally, otherwise I'd possibly end up like the first dude! 😁 And ALWAYS with a guard and two mirrors!

As a former Dog Groomer , he is butchering his own hair . We use that same wrist motion for sculpting doggie fur .. lol 😂 And if you are gonna use tape use ELECTRICAL TAPE !!!! It won’t pull your hair out .

Those are the same clippers I have for my husbands hair. He is unable to hold and use them now due to his progressive neurological illness. I must admit I don’t use a guard but that is what he prefers. When I started clipping his hair I used a no1 guard and I removed it to clean the back of his neck except I then saw a bit that was longer at the crown of his head and I totally forgot I had no guard on. 😵‍💫 good thing he loves me even after 37 years married lol

This is a much less stressful hair fails video since they all have quite short hair to begin with. When people have very long hair to start I feel so horrible! It takes soooo long to grow

I've been giving myself buzz cuts and short, back and sides with clippers for the best part of 15 years now... but always with the guards (unless I get sick of having hair and go bare clippers.) Thankfully I haven't had the level of fail shown in this video.

My dad had this machine that he just went over his scalp like a hair brush and it cuts the hair level! I don't think they even sell them anymore, it was that long ago!! 😂💖💖

i cut my own hair with clippers and had no idea about the c shape thing, i dont think i can physically do it though as i have neurological issues so i dont think i have that much wrist control. people always compliment me on my hair though, one of my doctors even said that i should be a barber. i used to be a dog groomer before i got ill so doing my own hair is so much easier than a dog that does not want its hair cut, wants to play or has separation anxiety. used to even cut my guinea pigs hair and even further back my rabbit. now they were hard to groom. my rabbit was really hyper and my guinea pig threw her head back whenever you touched her head. you could not tie them up either. they were both small at least. i have an amazing set of clippers that have adjustable guards between 0.5mm and 42.0mm and every 0.1mm in between. i love them, best clippers i have had. i use 3.0mm sides and back ind 42.0mm on top. they are not too hard for me to hold either which is a real problem i have had with a lot of clippers, i have gone through quite a lot between cutting my hair and dogs

I remember the first time my mom used trimmer on my dad. Mind you my dad had beautiful silver salt and pepper hair till the day he died. Omg I got called from my mom not to say anything about his hair when I came over. I walked in. OMG!! Lol!! I was like holy crap. It looked like a 3D race track. Lol He laughed too. She finally laughed and got better. But omg. I always think of my parents when I see bad buzz cuts.lol
