This version of 'Hairspray' was the second of a trifecta of dance movies set in the 1960's, the first being 'Dirty Dancing', and the last, 'Shag-The Movie'.

I feel like Colleen/Vitamin C hasn’t been seen in forever!! I LOVE her music. I like when she announced she was a trained dancer! So talented.

Colleen starting off the Roach is one of the most amazing parts of the whole movie.

Penny (Leslie Ann Powers) pretty much disappeared. Rikki Lake posted on Facebook in 2015 that she was wondering what ever happened to her, and that she hadn't seen her since filming the movie in 1987.
