12:35 THIS is my favourite part of Broadway. How the band could keep up to Harvey missing his cue and how everything was perfectly back on track in less than two seconds. BRILLIANT!

Notice Edna was off beat the first 4 seconds, and the band had to speed up so the audience wouldn't notice.

I never knew they actually feature the black and white dress during the original run (most likely previews as Marissa later wears a pink dress) which makes me no longer question Tracy's dress in the 2007 movie with Nikki. I was so confused as to why she didn't wear a pink dress, but now it makes sense and it makes me love it even more!

was this during previews? When did they change Tracy's Jail Dress to that Pinkish/Purple one? I know they did during Marissa's original run

I love the original cast because it was the first cast and they play all the parts kinda organically and natural... Over time the show kind of became a parody of itself.. Everyone did everything over the top and it lost its funny spark. I lived hairspray live but it too over played every bit of diologue.

Who knew that Elle Woods and Barbara Maitland took the stage along with so many others?

i hate to admit this but the movie was better, considering they were not over acting too much, i would say that the singing was better but that was editing it takes real talent to sing live this well. but the sequence of the movie was better..... but for a live show this was pretty good
