Her name is q-tip as per my roommates suggestion. edit: thank you all for your admiration for my cat, unfortunately after 13 years with me, q-tip has passed away peacefully on the morning of 3/14/24 she was the best friend I've ever had, and I'm sure she's resting in peace getting into the garbage can in cat heaven.

And unlike Leela who can just shed it off, for us it's an absolute NIGHTMARE to shave once the warmer seasons come in. I spent three maybe four hours trying to shave once the weather started getting warmer. 😭

My Uncle rescued a young kitten that was supposed to be hairless. The kitten was viewed as worthless, as it had several patches of hair. My Uncle named him Singe. He was a lovely friend.

It's no coincidence that her remaining fur is where her body touches the (relatively) cold floor of your home. Cat's are all about insulating themselves from the cold ground. It's why they'll always sit on a towel or something if you put it on the floor, rather than just sit on the floor. Her body decided to become that towel. She's adorable, furry or not!

Donskoy breed. Unlike the completely hairless sphynx cat (Canadian hairless), the Donskoy or don sphynx may have their coats and slowly loose it over time, although it’s a bit on the rare side with a lot of fur. They are not related to the Canadian hairless whose coat stems from a recessive gene, the donskoy’s hairlessness is caused by a dominant gene. Fun fact: because hairlessness in the donskoy is due to such a dominant genetic defect, it’s been breeding banned in some places due to health risks (mainly lack of protection and sometimes abnormalities in sweat glands and other ectodermal parts (Ectodermal dysplasia))

I have a completely coated Sphynx. He was the only kitten in the litter with fur. Its not like proper fur, its kind of wiry and wooly, but he has super long whiskers as well. Hes never lost it and hes nine now. Honestly hes been much healthier and more active than my other Sphynxes and doesnt have the usual tummy issues and things that they can have. Hes my little familiar and follows me everywhere

She’s adorable! I met a hairless cat at the vet hospital the other day. He was so dang sweet. I let him into the comfort room. He helped me as I was grieving and sobbing. I know they have a different look all together, but really, such sweet angels come in so many forms.
