Haitian gang leader Jimmy “Barbecue” Cherizier, who has acted as a spokesperson for the gang alliance, said that he would not accept the presence of Kenyan police troops in Haitian territory. Jimmy Cherizier was seen leading a couple dozen rifle-hoisting followers whose faces were obscured by hoods or balaclavas. Meanwhile, the elite Kenyan Police Unit which is leading the international peacekeeping mission in Haiti has begun patrolling the streets of capital Port-Au-Prince. On the other hand, the armed gangs have declared war on the Kenyan forces calling them “invaders” of the Caribbean nation. At the same time, Haiti’s Prime Minister Gary Conille visited the United States after Washington promised to provide more funds and support to the Kenya-led international peacekeeping mission.

Even the idea of sending troops to go and die in Haiti, was it not about money? There’s war in Sudan, there’s insecurity in South Sudan, DRC is turmoil for decades. How many troops has Kenya sent to those neighboring countries to help? So these Kanyan troops are no 😺😺 rather they are highly professional military service men that have taken on Al Shabaab in Sub Sahara and won. So the Kenyan forces are now on the defensive awaiting the arrival of the remaining 2500 service men from Chad Benin Bangladesh Bahamas Barbados Jamaica Canada and of course additional forces from Kenya as well. As soon as the contingent is complete they will go on the offensive. Jimmy Cherizier also known as BBQ may have a big mouth right now but so did the gangs in El Salvador. President Nayib Bukele managed to convert El Salvador from one of the most dangerous into one of the safest countries in the Western Hemisphere. The Haitian armed group has already seized a police station in the face of the Kenyan forces. The Kenyan force is creating more problems than reaching a peaceful deal with the Haitian armed groups. More young men are coming out to join the Haitian armed groups against the Kenyans. Haiti needs a well trained military force for the sake of those young men to be enrolled in instead of joining the illegal armed groups.

There is absolutely no reason for the Dominican Republic getting involved here as Haiti is not primarily the responsibility of the Dominican Republic but rather of the Western Alliance meaning the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Japan. Moreover the Dominican Republic doesn't have the means to finance the mission the United States having a treasury that is 400 times the size of that of the Dominican Republic. President Luis Abinader has it right it is for the International Community and the Western Alliance to resolve the situation in Haiti and the Dominican Republic will stay clear of the internal situation in Haiti except of course that it will protect it's border. The United States treasury for example is 400 times that of the Dominican Republic. What is more the Biden Administration has sent already 200 billion dollars to shore up the Ukraine militarily and the restructuring of Haiti does not require more than 4 billion dollars for example that is about 2%. Moreover President Luis Abinader already stated that the Dominican Republic does not have the means coming to the rescue of Haiti. With fire. Unlike in Kenyan cities where everything is built of stone and thus burning buildings isn't a feasable way to combat troops. In Kenya most buildings have a wooden frame thus making them combustable. Since the Kenyan police are there to help secure the richer parts of the cities and the wealthy they leave themselves open to large scale arson something that's not a factor in Kenya.

There's a difference between having a full military as backup in a war and having to deal with police actions with a very limited amount of troops on the other side of the world from your home country. I'd imagine the gangs will not engage in direct warfare and this will end in about 6 months after negotiations and payoffs to the gangs.
