@@crowe6961As someone who speaks Japanese, she's not speaking with an accent, at least not with one that I’m familiar with, she's speaking Hyojun-go (the "standard" Japanese taught in schools and in foreign classes). If by accent you're referring to her pronunciation, she either a) has a slight speech impediment or b) the person behind the model is just doing a voice for the character.

@@polygon2745 Slight natural speech impediment might be the answer, since she has to concentrate a bit more when speaking clearly. She doesn't have any issues speaking clearly like with her singing, but just chooses not to in more comfortable situations like at home or with friends. It's a fun little trait that she plays to her advantage and I am here for it!

every time I see this typo I have to bring it up shoujo manga = girls' manga shojo manga = virgin manga because of course, shojo (romanized as such) means virgin in Japanese

Japanese is a language of double entendres. A lot of innocent words have dirty slang meanings. Shoujo is specifically little girl. The virgin meaning typically doesn't show up except in like Yuri stuff. It also doesn't apply to guys unlike the english word virgin.

@@PIKMINROCK1 nope you misunderstood what I'm saying. the two words are romanized and pronounced differently and their kanji are different. 少女 = shoujo = girl 処女 = shojo (without the held 'o') = (typically female) virgin i'm sure you knew that, but the point was that the typo in the translation changes the meaning of the word quite a bit.

Yeah, that's one of the problems with all of the major romanization methods: they indicate long vowels by adding a macron or circumflex, which tend to be omitted and cause a lot of misleading spellings

@@ashielby166Ririkas is vastly better, hers is on the same level as pretty advanced 2.0 models, not quite at 3.0 levels yet. Hajimes is more like a 1.0 model, barely better than mikos old one for example. Really flat and static.

i really don't understand Holo JP branch right now... This new JP gen had next to zero advertising, no hype build up, and it shows.. Compared to EN, which teased Advent for weeks. I Feel like the JP and EN branches have to be separately managed at this point. I feel bad for these girls, the numbers aren't high, and tbh the lack of support for this new gen, kinda leaves me uninterested. I'm really trying to like them.

You must be living under a rock, it has been advertised like any other branch 2+ weeks prior to their debut, it was hyped by official accounts on every platform several times, the only reason why they don't get a huge surge in subs because youtube did a culling to their subs multiple times, but now they're slowly gaining back their sub numbers and that will only get better with frequent streams and future projects
