Kashimo really is a strong guy, but it's easy to lose sight of that in a verse so focused on Hax abilities, basically every top-tier matchup is decided by how the two fighter's Hax interact and that's why I think Kashimo is a much-needed breath of fresh air.

This is unironically true, lmfao. If he had a binding vow that reduced the power of his cursed technique, in exchange for it repairing his body after being used, he could’ve innovated his ct in so many ways that it would’ve eventually turned out far more powerful than it was when he fought Sukuna 😂

Unless you’re Hakari or Higurama who are special cases/Domain prodigies, in order to learn a DE, you have to be able to infuse your CT into a barrier. But if Kashimo uses his CT he dies so it makes sense why he didn’t have one

To be fair, he may be able to Infuse his technique into a barrier without necessarily using it on himself, but given how unique his technique is it’s hard to tell what would happen and even if he could do that infusing a technique he’s never used would be incredibly difficult I imagine

Sukuna only was the strongest if the heian era because kashimo wasnt born yet The grest farmer would have ensured that there was enoth food for everybody, including sukunas mother, leading to him being normal instead of a 4 armed abomination

Kashimo is really strong, but my only complaint is that his skillset feels a bit lacking for someone of his caliber. Especially for someone who not only wants to fight Ryomen Sukuna, but thinks he has a chance. Particularly, his lack of a domain. Sure he has Hollow Wicker Basket, but that requires a constant handsign. After all Gojo said so himself in the beginning. The best way to fight a domain is with your own domain. I guess a good analogy would be an NBA player who can't dunk.

To be fair to Kashimo, Sukuna was sealed 600 years before his time, it’s not like he knew anything about Sukuna he was going to die anyways and he just like Ryo wasn’t satisfied with what he accomplished in life and needed to fight Sukuna for validation, for all he knew Sukuna was a fighter like Toji

@@TwistedCarnage That's being fair to Kashimo, which is perfectly fine, but it's kinda unfair for the reader since we've known of Sukuna's strength and then introducing a character whose entire character revolves around fighting Sukuna and have him lacking so many necessary skills when he's shown such knowledge on the subject. Gege even had him comment on the absurdity of Malevolent Shrine with when he himself has nothing to even compare and had him reveal to the reader how RCT operates. I think it's a missed opportunity.

@@adora_burst8143 I too wished Kashimo could’ve been more but ultimately he served the same purpose as Gojo but he didn’t have the plot relevance, Sukuna picks apart the strongest of every era just so we can see his philosophy and watch him become weaker, Yuta says himself they would’ve instantly died if they fought fresh Sukuna

Hey, so i have a theory in mind: The ct of kashimo was not in their 100%, each second that passes, his body starts to transform more in elecricty, so overtime kashimo would grow even stronger on that fight against sukuna, and them eventually he's body would get destroyed. Ii think that cause, if you notice, kashimo was transforming in each second, and i suggested that sukuna notices this, says he strong, and vaporized kashimo with his strongest attack yet, cause he knew kashimo would get rlly strong.

Kashimo is the sorcerer that I could never understand why he is so underrated. His first fight in the series was a Jujutsu masterclass. He was the strongest fighter in the edo period without using his cursed technique, which if we go by gojo's metric he was only using 20 percent of his potential. That's completely insane. It also means 20 percent kashimo is stronger than hakari. Without taking hakari's hax into account. If his cursed technique wasn't a 1 time use he would've been an absolute monster. And the only reason we didn't get another master class against sukuna is because he had no experience using his technique.

Yeah I’ve always the same way practically, if he was closer to Sukuna and Kenjaku in binding vow proficiency, he could be the strongest but he is lacking some foundational tools like domain etc

I agree with all the other glazing videos because most of the other characters either never reached their full potential or had 2 be nerfed by gege because of their CT, but Kashimo deserves no glazing He had the hype, and he flopped and became the waffled one.

Could it be kashimo didn't have a domain due to his technique being a one time use, thus preventing it from being imbued into a domain? Also could he theoretically have took some sort of binding bow to use his technique without it killing him in a much lesser and weaker degree? I mean I bet if sukuna had such a thing as a one time use of anything he could do just that.

I imagine the type of interpretation needed to imbue a technique into a domain would require some practice or training to understand well enough, as far as binding vows, go it's impossible to tell because on one hand, it seems like you can just decide to make binding vows and on the other hand, the barrierless domain binding vow seems to be a divine technique so it's not explained well enough to consistently analyze in my opinion.

The only thing is, Kashimo has to place the charges onto Mahoraga before he can do the one shot, which gives Mahoraga the ability to start adapting to the lightning. I don't think Kashimo can output enough even after one adaptation to oneshot him with the lightning, forcing Kashimo to use his technique to win. Which brings up the second problem, which is that his technique is still lightning based, which Mahoraga is continuously adapting to throughout the fight. It wouldn't go so well as it did for Sukuna and Gojo, as there techniques have enough variations between them to beat out the adaptations.

Even if he has to use his technique there’s no doubt that he’s on Mahoraga’s level, and personally I feel that they heavily nerfed Maho in the gojo fight, against Sukuna he just adapted in one wheel spin and Sukuna needed to combo his two strongest moves to win and against Gojo, Sukuna had to use the wheel for a dozen chapters and Mahoraga still couldn’t fully adapt to Gojo’s technique

@@TwistedCarnage Moreso Mahoraga was adapting to a very complex technique. During his fight with Sukuna, he adapted to slashing attacks. Mahoraga adapting to infinity is him adapting to space (physics professor Mahoraga), which basically divides a number by a number an infinite number of times since it will never reach 0. Him adapting to blue is him adapting to a void full of attraction converging space infinitely.

We really don't know what version of yuta we are talking about here. Saying hakari is above base yuta is jusf objectively correct but nothing on those scans or in that statement shows that it may be referencing yuta at max power when rika is full manifested

@@TwistedCarnage Well he did expressly write down that when hakari was on a roll he'd be stronger than Yuta. Why wouldn't he at least mention Yuta with a connection to Rika. Just assuming gege meant that is again just an assumption. At face value it just looks like when hakari gets on a roll he can significantly surpass Yuta who again is a special grade in base not just when his technique or connection to Rika is in effect. It's like people forget his overwhelming cursed energy that's about half Sukuna's is just his own without Rika taken into account.

Gojo literally only got hit by the world cutter, because sukuna specifically hid it with a binding vow. He made a binding vow that allowed him to do it out of the blue with zero requirements or set up what so ever. Didnt even need to point. Kashimo KNEW about the slashes, and had the benefit of sukuna having to chant and point in the direction the slashes were going. So it's really not a plus for kashimo.

Sukuna's binding vow just allowed him to cast it without hands, it could still be sensed and seen, Kashimo saw it and dodged, Gojo saw it and died, the rest is head cannon

I mean yuta even said himself that when hakari is stronger than himself when “worked up” which is presumed to be his jackpot. Hakari is DEF not stronger without a jackpot but with one active I think that’s a fair thing to say.

He also did put up a damn good fight against kashimo and he was definitively the strongest of his time. It’s hard to say but like I said I’m convinced that jackpot hakari is stronger than Yuta
